Acoustic
Lyrics:
The sky is folding in on me
No open spaces
And crowds with blank faces
And silent speech
Out-stretched hands that can't reach
Another star dies
I watch it fly & burn out
And no-one grieves
No-one sees the space it leaves
I thought that you would have the answers
But now it seems that you're as lost as me
I'm praying for a storm
So we can dance, and never get caught
Under the sky
Thunderclouds and starlight
The sky is falling
Years rush by while time stands still
Nothing's changed
But nothing seems to be the same
If I could hold my breath forever
I'd walk into the sea, and not look back
'Til I found you
'Til I found you
As lost as me

really nice dreamy guitar pattern and love the vocals, especially when you bring in the overdubbing, lovely harmony keep at it. only part i didn't like was a fret slide at the start when my volume was to high x) [ Reply to This ]

LOL, sorry about the fret slide! Yeah, it's not the best quality recording. Really pleased you like the song, tho. Thank you for listening, and for your lovely comment :) [ Reply to This ]
mesmerizing... &mdash 07/25/07 - 11:46:36 PM
How do you do that? Very nice! The soft guitar playing, with the nice long pauses between lines... really soft pleading singing... almost whispered, makes it very personal. The lyrics are haunting, as are the bittersweet chord progressions, really nice melody. I'm quite impressed by your writing skills. There are minor technical issues, like the initial noise before recording, and the general background room noise, but those quickly melt away with the intimacy of this song. Nice fractal artwork there too. Glad I stumbled across you (by seeing you faving one of the "Ember" collabs)... I must listen to more of your work soon! Please accept a very belated welcome to Macjams!
