Lyrics:
Waste Of Me
Words By: Jason
Vocals By: Allen
All Rights Reserved: Montgomery California 2007

Verse 1
Wasting away all I was meant to be,
Passing away… years gone by.
Wasting away all that was given to me,
Passing away the time of my life.
Drowning away in a sea of apathy,
Wasting time, I haven’t got
Burning away all of my energy,
Wasting my life, watching it rot.

Chorus
Cursing the day I came to be born,
Suffering tempers my soul.
Purified by the fires of scorn,
Who will I be when I become old?
God working faithfulness inside of me,
Learning to do the things that I’m told.
Teaching me to seize the opportunity,
Standing me up, I become bold.

Verse 2
Watching me make a waste of me,
Watching my life pass me by.
Learning to live with all of this inside of me,
Losing the things money can’t buy.
Burning my soul in all of this misery,
Yearning for life… I haven’t got
Cloaking my soul in all of this mystery,
Being alone… it happens a lot.

wow! &mdash 06/01/07 - 06:47:10 PM
what a surprise!
ohh, and that bass is really thumping!
the drums have more fills in places too,
you sly dog!
the whole mix just seems "tighter", and that "problematic snare drum" from before seems fixed up... you showed it.
long live MONTGOMERY CALIFORNIA!!!!

Who? &mdash 06/01/07 - 08:25:59 PM
Montgomery California is RAD and Faelin? AWESOME! This kicks ass! When you combine Jason's songwriting with Allen's voice and production talents you guys are unbeatable! Lyrically this sounds like several songs I tried to write over the years with a "Wasted Days" theme but failed to make something coherent; so I can relate to the message. I love the vocal harmonies, and I really like the guitar harmonies. The solo is melodic with some very clean tremelo picking. The mix is full with bass and drums giving a solid low-end ground, highs filled with lead guitar and vocals, and mids filled by rhythm guitar. Dude, I would so totally buy a CD of this stuff.

Nice work &mdash 06/02/07 - 03:37:01 PM
it does its job of eliciting emotion, so phew, it's hard for me to listen to very often....

What's a musician able to do about that, anyway?

Lots of very good singing &mdash 06/02/07 - 05:22:51 PM
It's almost like hearing this, you should be a mega rock star. But I guess there is so much competition for that type of thing. It is pretty tough to get that high in rock stardom. But it amazes me how much incredible rock talent passes through here. Hopefully, the rock-out - fans and others will take a liking to this fabulous singing and playing. Cause it seem like an agent should be picking this stuff up. But I am not an agent nor that knowledgeable in all that is rock. But you should be congratulated in getting this good!

Of course the this stuff sounds to me. You could be a star just being anonymous :)
WAy to go!

You are casting some holy thunderbolts here, friends. Great job. Someone has to stand up against apathy, self-abuse and despair. "I become bold" -- indicative of the Spirit lifting up the lost!

thank you sir. &mdash 06/04/07 - 09:36:13 AM
very touching compliment. I think the "wasted life" theme is something most people can relate with. coupled with hope and faith... "i become bold!"
i wrote the words as i realized what was going within me and my life.
Allen really captured that "mood" and took it away vocally and musically with his guitar virtuoso abilities and amazing singing talents!

What Thetiler said: you need an agent. If I knew how that works, I'd be first in line to sign you up. This is just superb and I am glad I stopped by to listen. Wonderful production quality all around and some impassioned vocals and great lead guitar riffs. Are you working on a CD? You should be.

truley, &mdash 06/05/07 - 11:06:50 PM
a wonderful complimet. i hesitate to speak for Allen, but he is in fact working solo on a superb concept piece.
This is just the "child" of us realizing that over time we will do, hopefully, many collab works, and instead of it being..."well you go ahead and post it", we thought why not create a profile for our joint efforts, topped with the "bold flavor of bullseye!"
so, over time, we may amass enough material for a cd.
but we will certainly rock out a few "singles" in the meantime!
your comments are greatly appreciated, paul, thank you!

Song blew me away &mdash 06/13/07 - 05:32:23 PM
I agree with The Tilers` observations and comments. As I have stated before with varying adjectives you guys are sensational. Hope you become rich and famous, this type of quality is rare and has to my ears the "IT" factor.

you are too kind, mr norman &mdash 06/14/07 - 09:28:58 AM
as always, the kudos are fun to read.... we started this out of a want to do something more band oriented, minus the rehearsal, as we are thousands of miles apart, and i feel it has some really cool potential, as i am sure i can speak in agreement for my counterpart. i think the main difficulty in doing a project like this is to keep direction, and for me, figuring out what tuning jason is using at a given time...again, thank you all for your support and praise, and we will try to give you as diverse a musical journey as our little fingers can offer!!

Very great start MC, this song is a real great piece that shouldn't be missed. As always Allen, your vocals are at its best and for sure Jason's great bass sounds. Enjoyed every second!

Take Care
