Description:
This track is part of a compilation written for a religious documentary.
The story is about a man (footsteps). There are 3 parts to his life. Introduction into life with a somber playing of piano with various ambient noise that depict calmness. The transition (footsteps) into a police state dark with a low pad and fx noises. The peak of the police state is where 2 men argue over a check point. There argument comes to a peak and tensions rise. The last segment is where he prays for the world. A soft pad with the footsteps fading in the end and a voice that sings “and in the end there is love”.
I didn’t know what to classify this piece other than “other”. Hope you enjoy. Sit back and count how many fx I added. The scripture I believe would be appropriate; one for each segment:
2 Segment:
1 Cor. 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
3 Segment:
005:019 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

A wonderful soundscape..... &mdash 06/01/07 - 04:57:32 PM
This piece of music paints a wonderful picture in my imagination/minds eye. It all fits together like a jig-saw, to make a complete whole.
Nothing seems to be missing or left out.
Excellent.

is fantastic; like watching a film in my mind. The arrangements and sounds are really great. For what it's worth I would think it is Cinematic, M [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for the comments I do appreciate them. If I can create imagery in ones mind through sound textures and combinations of notes and then people can enjoy them-that is the payoff.
Thank you again for taking the time to listen.

Hmm! Very interesting, and I mean that in the most positive sense! A melding together of disparate elements; Alberti bass, sung fragments, synths, sound effects. Hmm!
Musically, I would have liked to have heard the piano part go on longer -- I liked how it evoked an 18th century feel while still being contemporary, almost like Philip Glass.
Excellent work here! [ Reply to This ]
Interesting... &mdash 07/07/07 - 01:55:33 PM
The word interesting is almost the kiss of death hehe! I am glad you like it. This piece was experimental for me for sure by putting segments together to try to tell a story through sound. The piano was just an accent of the first segment. It seemed to fit but not in the proceeding segments.
Thanks for taking the time to listen, it is greatly appreciated.
