Description

This is an old mix (circa 2005) that I've got out, dusted down and tried to balance things out in.

It's in a similar vein to 'Remedy', a piece I put on here a while ago and which recently has been jumping up in the number of hits, really out of the blue.

It needs more work but see what you think and let me know.

(None of the voices are me. They are all out of the big Trip Hop can in the sky).

I don't know if I would do anything else with the piece.

The original ideas are long gone and I'm motivated now by more unusual musical stuff, that is until I get my 'proper music head' back from the dry cleaners.

This piece is just a rediscovered, old piece/mix, in a genre that I really enjoy listening to.

But at the end of the day, who know what I'll do. Hell, I don't know myself what I'm going to be doing from one minute to the next. I just go with whatever flow is happening at the current 'now' of my life.

It's my philosophy of 'Path of Least Resistance', so sometimes it's easy to follow, other times the climb is just that little by higher.

This piece is an old one that sounded a little too lo-fi for me at the time I mixed it but with some of the stuff uploaded onto MJ's over the last couple of months I thought that this might be less embarrasing to let others listen to.

The lyrics are random, hence no actual lyrics have been typed to go with the music.

It's a year of diversity in musical production for me. I set a goal of pushing the boundaries of whatever musical genre I had ideas enough about to create a mix, that evoked a picture in the listeners mind. I've still a long way to go but I feel that after almost 6 months I have moved forward somewhat.

Time will tell.

I treat every creation differently. The standards are always minimal noise, clear instruments and good diction on voices where possible, unless the misunderstanding of the words adds to the total effect. Everything else is reliant on the original samples that I may use. They're free so I have to use what I find on the Internet or magazine disks.

You worry me when you say I've set high standards for myself. It causes me tremendous gnashing of teeth and soul searching as I work on my next upload. I'm going to forget you put that idea in my mind and 'just do my stuff'. Fingers crossed and all that.

Michael. I would say that your skills are at least equal to mine (in my opinion) and that your vocal touch adds magic to your own creations. You are prepared to experiment and try new ideas. That is also a big plus in my opinion.

I have to use sampled or synthesized voices as mother nature gave me a singing voice that can and usually does clear a room in less than 10 seconds!! (Her little jest).

So if you ever need neighbours evicted, I could help.

	Nice piece very creative. I agree it's a bit different from some of your recent work, but it still sounds like you (if that makes sense!). The sounds are effective and interesting, and the whole piece hangs together well. This is the kind of piece that lingers in the head. Very cool. Nice work. Peace. I like the idea of it 'hanging in your head'. Somehow this makes me smile. Can I use this as part of a 'world domination' formula?? We'll have to see.

Trip Hop, in my opinion, is cool. I think that these tunes sound better with lyrics or at least a viable voice. Once I have the phrases-as-samples, I can add my backing. This piece tended to fit together quite well but I just forgot about it for nearly two years.

Where would Peace be without Light and Love??
