Tighten - but only a bit &mdash 06/02/07 - 11:45:05 AM
I really like some of the old school US bands like The Minutemen, firehose etc - not sure if they are an influence, but this really reminds me of some of that stuff. You have some really interesting things happening with the bass and guitars. Overall I think a bit of structure would help, but not too much or you'll spoil it. Keep it up!

Interesting comments &mdash 06/02/07 - 12:26:17 PM
I like the Minutemen and the other "arty" punk bands from the 80's, but they may only be a tangential influence. Who knows.

I'm curious what you mean when you say 'structure'. There is a distinct intro/verse/chorus/verse/chorus/outro to this piece, as I see it. If you could say more, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the insight and lending me your ears,

If you find yourself lacking finesse, a big rock will usually make a sufficient substitute.

I like the "live" interplay of the bass and guitar. The spoken verse is a nice touch also. Thanks for sharing.

I've heard this before right? &mdash 06/02/07 - 06:31:08 PM
If not - it's even better than the song I really loved that sounds llike this but may not be yours. But I distictly remember being blown away by a song that sounds a lot like this one. It might have been one of my first exposures to your music. I hear some of the "arty eighties punk" mentioned earlier - but I really think you've got your own thing going on here. Looking forward to collecting the whole set!
