Description
My self and two other people started playing together about a month ago. We play through amps and the singer plays the drums
and sings through a kereoke machine then we record through an i-book mic into GB. Then inGB I messed with the effects. So that would explain the slightly rough sound but I really like the song and its a blast to play. Was curios what others thought-------Thanks

Lyrics
Hey, have you looked in the future.
Hey, have you looked at the past.
Hey, have you gone and made deals.
Hey, have you got me some change
Hey, I know about your business.
Hey, I aint worried the same.

20,000 years into the future.
Could anybody ever know you now.
It dont make no difference ‘cause I dont care.
It dont make no difference ‘cause I dont care.
Now its commin up to you.
There aint nothin we can do.
There aint nothin goin on, in this old crapy world.

Bar band captured on cassette recorder!
Well, it sounds very live and very mono. Not sure how you
can take what you've got and give it more immediate
presence and stereo separation. Can't understand the
lyrics (which sound like they're on overdrive).

However, you definitely have a rockin' tempo, good timing
and skillful instrumentation and percussion. So, get
yourselves mic'd up properly and get a good sound
engineer. Some of us can offer tips on that.

Don't stop yet!
Song-wise, I like it. I think it might benefit from being tightened up a bit. It will feel much more succinct if it were trimmed by a quarter or so and I think there is enough open space in there to trim without cheating the composition.

The individual performances sound good, but you've got to find a better recording method! If you could lay down the drums first as a solo instument you could then record the other parts by plugging directly into your iBook. You might try running the microphone for the drums through an amp and plugging the amp directly into the iBook as well. Keep experimenting! (6-5-6-6)

Thanks for the advice we are going to re-record it. The problem is every
time we get together we just keep coming up with new stuff. What your
hearing is from like a 12 minute recording of when we came up with the
song that was only the second time playing the song.

Thanks again ABZ

Good n' dirty
don't worry about the sound being rough, I think it has a certain charm. however go to Radio shack and get a mic or a mic headset for a computer and have the drummer do the vocals through that. overall it sounds tight. good first effort.

charming was a good word for this. thats a really
funny way to record, ive definately recorded things
just as ghetto as that if not more. its not a bad
scratch track, i think just recording the tracks
seperately will give you what you want and you can
start putting gb to use for your songs. Im a designer
as well, so its words of love brother!
