Description:
B-side from "Does your mother know ???"

Lyrics:
We met at the rehab clinic
You are Pam you’re an alcoholic
I am here for sex…addiction
But you’re my intoxication

Oh my sweetheart of the Rehab
Here we are like mice in a lab
As soon we get out of this box
You and me we gonna retox

I am only happy
When I see you in group therapy
Everyone of the twelve steps I made
Was headed towards your single bed

Chorus

All day we wait until it gets dark
So we ca,n sneak out in the park
While you lift up your nightgown
I offer you a drink of Cologne

Chorus.

is a good one. love that line about "we gonna retox." i really like the gtr and organ as well (you always use that organ to great effect); especially the really crashing gtr part towards the end in the background.

I love that 60s organ sound and use it whenever I have a chance. Wish I could play chords, though. Thanks for commenting.

Nice guitars CJ! Glad to hear you using that trusty epiphone of yours. Really good sound.

You have such a good sense of humor and it comes out on this song in a really subtle way. Retox is my favorite line, too.

I'm just happy to see the Monggz back in the saddle after the tamborinist overdosed at their last gig.

I hope it's not too french ( It was Lennon who said "French rock was like english wine") but it's certainly (romantic) comedy.

this black epiphone is no-nonsense, down-to-earth tool. It's not going to take itself for a Gibson as long as I don't take myself for The Yardbirds.

Glad you liked it.

right from the go, i was hooked. that bassline is like a sparkly fishing lure that just catches anything coming by.

a wonderful discovery and i adore the warm sense of humor. i haven't heard something of this nature since The Sugarcubes! great stuff!

I'm running to stand still here .. &mdash 06/09/07 - 03:58:02 PM
... trying to keep up with all your posts. This is funky, poppy and has a kinda sexy vocal (dont worry, i'm not coming on to you). The lyrics are just great - funny but kinda poignant as well - a great double edge to them.

I really like your recent poppy tracks JC - this is one of my definative favs - reminds me a tiny bit of the Stranglers - your voice is great on this, loads of f==k off attitude.

...did you see the pictures of the 2 of them at some Hollywood gathering? He had a suit on with the trouser tucked into cowboy boats. What a tosser. I really cant stand the band ... he's the worst lyricist I've heard in ages, but doesnt seem to realise it.

Dont get me started ...

I love your writing on this one (as well as the sound, organ, etc). All clever. The line about Pam and the twelve steps, and then the ending is the retox - the sexual encounter for him and a bottle of cologne for her. wow. a passionately sad ending.

Blur meets Stranglers - lots of fun CJ. I was "away" from music during this period, but have enjoyed these bands retrospectively as it were. Just a good song, done just right!
" It's not going to take itself for a Gibson as long as I don't take myself for The Yardbirds. " - funniest comment I've read in a long while! I relate completely!!!!! :)

blur and stranglers were trying to recreate a certain idea of the 60s music, I guess. Which I'm trying to do with my own limited means.
