Description:
This my first colab ever . Greg D Click me if you dare produced the beat. (funky as hell) I fell In love with it instantly and started writing lyrics the moment I heard it . Hope you enjoy : )

Lyrics:
Im left to wonder why the world keeps spinnin around .

I sit and contemplate and when my cheeks hit the ground.

I wonder off into space and keep a smile on my face .

Zazen meditate away the human race.

I flip my big lips silly rabbits got tricks .

There aint nothin in the future this is as good as it gets .

Im fat and happy baby thats the way I gotta keep it

Like little yellow marshmallow chicks you really gotta Peep it.

Gunna make you move like six stacks of pick up sticks.

Then Ill make you holler like a bloody slasher flick .

I splatter my brains out with this pen on a page .

I scream free bird but the mans got me in a cage .

Been tryin to break these chains of Babylon with each song .

I wonder around your town punchin my chest like king kong .

I perpetuate my motion with each and every step .

I move forward with my right foot then follow it with my left .

Best to keep your lippers shut cause fool you dont know me .

Ill creep up on ya slowly like Bella Legossy .

Im Dj Frenchy T with Greg D on tha beat .

just can call me Fred Flinstone the way I shuffle my feet.

The true identity of this polyPhonic spree .

Is to keep you arms open make your love planetary .

Your mind a sea of knowledge like a large aquarium .

But I keep it elemental like sodium or barium .

All that you will see and everything that you do .

Is all youll ever be so stop singin the blues .

Its cranial maddness in the days that we live .

So many of us take whilst the other ones give .

Wanna live my life right keep it pure like a vegitarian.

Big brother is watchin whilst we embrace the corporations .

Take a step back look at the world as a whole .

Seems to me the human race is completely outta control.....................

Very cool &mdash 06/07/07 - 07:20:20 PM
Kind of a Cypress Hill vibe going on - but cleverer (is that a word?) rhymes. Break in the middle goes on a bit long for me (excuse me while I pick nits), but the length is good. Nice beats, cool bass line. Very nice collab. Peace.

Wow What a complement , im sure , for both of us . The idea behind the long break was kinda a meditation in the middle . A cleansing . But ill listen to it again with different ear , thanx for your comments .

Rap song of the year! &mdash 06/07/07 - 09:11:11 PM
You know I typically hate rap, but when I saw a new one by French Toast I had to hear it right away. I dislike most rap because of overly-repetitive music and shallow lyrics; you and your beatmaster did not fall into those traps. I'm impressed that you managed to write a whole rap song with no N-words or F-bombs - that's hard to do because those two words rhyme with everything. And how many rappers actually no what zazen is? As an occasionally practicing Zen meditator I'm impressed that you're familiar with it. You have an awesome voice and original rhythmic style, and the upright bass musical interlude is pretty freaking cool. Overall this is an outstanding track.

thanx aaron &mdash 06/07/07 - 10:38:03 PM
Indeed without the kick ass beat this song would never have been created , the lyrics wrote themselves while I held the pen. I too have been practicing zen states of being my whole life . My father iz a practicing zen (city) monk . So it really comes second nature . I love all styles of rap but when someone can spit a whole song without cuss words I really listen.....I really wanted to keep this trip hoppy and make my lyrics part of the song instead of the main focas . this is the reason there is no hook . Or sing along part . I wanted it more organic and unusual . Thanx for the listen and the love brotha

Still outsanding. Great production. Like the atmoshperic vocal repeats. But you really could use a sing-along hook.

Cool song &mdash 06/08/07 - 04:39:39 PM
Cool song and great lyrics, but I'd do some more work on the drums. Kinda too laidback for my taste. Loved the lyrics though, did I say that?

Really like how this was put together. The poetry of rap always goes so well in the small Jazz combo setting. Examples of this are like "The Last Poets, Gil Scott-Heron & Tom Waits."
You pulled it off well here, congrats on this great creative moment.

and it's gone beyond my expectations. Excellent collab guys. Toast - you got a singular style that chills the booty and tickles the mind. Combined with gregd's cerebral beats and minimal mix the combo is lethal. I'd like to hear more from the two of you - I sense a bit of magic here.

this is one laid back track. That funky bassline is what really got me... that and the pizzicato.
Excellent vocals and lyrics.

haha this song reminds me of those laid back saturdays when I have a carls jr burger in one hand and a fat wallet in the other... thats the life man!
