Description:
This is one of three versions of Mungo's song 'Inevitable' that I have been working on.

After he sent the Logic Audio file to me and after following my natural inclination to 'manipulate the sounds', I ended up going in a direction that I didn't anticipate.

I am not quite sure whether this works or not, but I feel that there are enough interesting things going on in it to make it worthwhile sharing.

This is 1/4 speed of the original, judiciously edited and heavily mutated...

(Dharma Logos)

(In 'my' opinion...it had better be an expensive one...not a cheap one)

I'm not sure what's going on here. &mdash 06/10/07 - 02:58:13 AM
This is a bit beyond me, but somehow it works. A lot of moody noise buiilding up to something. The piano/guitar/whatever it is sounds cool. I like the bubbly sound effects. I'm not sure how well this stands up as in individual piece of music. On an album it might work (in much shorter form) as an intro or interlude between songs. For a film soundtrack this would be quite good. This would work as a soundtrack to everything from Terminator 4 to a cheap porno. Honestly this is a cool use of effects and stuff, but it's too long to hold my attention. But now I have to check out Mystified's music out of pure curiosity.

Two pieces of music not one.... &mdash 06/10/07 - 05:11:42 AM
To me this seemed as though two pieces of music had been bolted together. The first six minutes or so were one piece and the rest of the piece was the second theme.

The production is excellent, as always. Not too much added noise or dissonance although the reverse playing/effect seemed to be a tad too much (for me).

I couldn't build any sort of Terminator picture in my minds eye whilst listening and if porn did come to mind (which it didn't) I would have to err towards geriatrics in space (in slow motion). I dislike being 'sleezy' but it would be very expensive to condition older people to go into space, give them somewhere where they could 'excersize' and so this fits in with your 'expensive' response to DL, plus taking into consideration the Ambient/spacey nature of these soundscapes.

I look forward, as always, to any new music from you, and wait with baited breath.

Take care.

Paul.

I like this reply, too ;)

I have to agree with the notion that other visuals come to mind. Maybe an underwater expedition to explore some of those surreal-looking deep-sea creatures, or The Abyss. Definitely outer space, too.

(I do know it's always fun to see how B will affect my vocals :)

obviously underwater, but maybe that's where the aliens hide (it's the closest thing we have to space on the planet). great job on the parts of everyone involved.

Soundtrack works for me &mdash 06/11/07 - 03:19:09 AM
or maybe even a bit of chill out.

Really well produced and sounds nicely rounded. No harshness at all.

Cheers

this impressed me &mdash 06/11/07 - 10:11:32 PM
very cool sounds, terrific production, and very eerie at times. Slows the world down and lingers in the head. Very cool. Nice work. Peace.
