i'm plauged by those little suckers...they seem to move around....appear and disappear...occur where there is no recorded audio.

what are they and how do i exorcise them?

cool textures &mdash 08/20/04 - 08:18:01 AM
You've got some interesting sound combinations here,
you put together a rather unique mix. A bit after the
beginning, though, you were on the verge of having too
many sounds in the mix, but then the texture lightened
again. Very nice!

I really like your widely-spaced vocal harmonies, they
work well. They're alternated effectively with unison
singing.

The very end was clipped. I don't know how to "exorcise"
these little monsters either. But I'm sure that the more
knowledgeable folks on this site will offer suggestions.

I like this tune!

What can I say... except 10's across the board from me

Nice &mdash 08/20/04 - 10:25:33 PM
Good Song.

I Get those poping sounds as well - i thought it mite have
something to do with the Amplitube plug -ins that i use
on my guitars - it only seems to do that when i use them,
and if i hit play at the beggining of the song, the track
using amplitubes volume meter max's out as it "pops".

If you dont use plug ins like Amplitube then i dont know
wot else it could be - perhaps another AU/Vst plug in?

Great song anyway.

transition back to chorus &mdash 08/21/04 - 03:56:40 PM
I really like this song, but you kind of lose the flow in your
transition back to the chorus. This song is really, really
good otherwise. I just think it could be even better with a
tighter, better constructed transition back to that final
statement of the chorus.
As for your other post, would you mind posting the lyrics
for this song as well?
Thanks for a great song!

A favorite &mdash 08/21/04 - 10:08:54 PM
is what you have now become. Sorry to compare, but this
reminds me of Beck Sex & The City theme song.
Translated: This is a fantastic song. I can hear the music
in your soul, and your voice is so unique and memorable.
Chord changes are great. Lyrics are great. Vocal
harmonines are great. Should I go on?

not sure why that happened in my last post, but it SHOULD read: Beck [PLUS|
the Sex & The City theme song. Okay. I feel better now that I've clarified.

Rock on...

vs &mdash 08/24/04 - 06:00:47 PM
up until now you have proven your song writing
talent. each of your posts are so diverse, with a great
underlying talent. i think it's proof that you don't
have to have a consistant style. i'm uploading this
one to my iPod too.

this song is so diverse in itself and reflects your own
creative diversity. you produced the unexpected to me.
very good!

interesting photo as well.... it's alive in a kind of creepy
way, lol.

Dude... &mdash 08/25/04 - 11:34:51 AM
If you made an album of all these tunes, I would
totally buy it. I agree with all of the positive
comments (see above)

Cool groove! &mdash 08/25/04 - 05:22:00 PM
I love the flavor of this song with it's snare pop and
bouncy guitar... my descriptions are always a bit
weak. Reminds me only a tad of some older
Coldplay.

I do agree with Cameron that the end doesn't seem
to feel like an intentional ending, more like it was
clipped. Perhaps, it could end right on the last
vocals? So the last thing you'd hear is "Would" with
no instruments behind it? Just a suggestion. :P

As for the pop, I only hear it once at the beginning,
but I've found that strange things can happen at the
beginning of the track if you don't have your marker
set right at the beginning before exporting. That
might help. :)

Nice voice &mdash 01/20/05 - 06:22:48 AM
Nice voicing.
I hear a little Sting!

There is a part there, which I think you know was
mentioned in a previous post that doesn't seem to fit.
But please understand. Your voice is a winner and that
song seems to have a great sound to it.
