O.K I... &mdash 06/16/07 - 02:48:26 PM
listened & I hear the potential - performances need some attention & tighter - production is pretty good - perhaps spreading the mix out a bit & adding some bottom end - a nice little tune but with to many loose ends.

Thanks for the criticism &mdash 06/19/07 - 10:55:46 AM
This whole EP is supposed to sound like it was recorded very simply without too much in the production. Consequently, I don't want to compress, equalize, and do too much to the original audio.

However, I agree that this sound will be a bit unpleasant to some people's ears. I remember the first time I bought Bad Religion's 80-85 CD and put it in my stereo. It sucked! The sound was terrible. The same went for T.S.O.L.'s first EP and Operation Ivy's self-titled album. Now they sound wonderful to me.

Aesthetics are so strange sometimes, but I hope that explains what's going on with the aesthetic in this album's production.

thanks for listening,

I really like the dry guitar sound &mdash 06/17/07 - 02:36:28 PM
very brave. I pile on the effects to hide my ineptitude. Excellent lyrics - worth the close listen. My daughter can't believe you're not playing the drums. Nice.

Are you kidding!? &mdash 06/19/07 - 10:59:55 AM
I couldn't play the drums that well if there were a gun to my head--I just don't do well under that kind of pressure, not to mention that I can't play the drums.

I spent many days practicing this tune before I got it where I wanted it. I'm glad some of that came through.

Thanks for listening.

pinback &mdash 06/19/07 - 11:39:38 AM
is an awesome indie band with great melodies and noodley guitar. it's a nice touchstone, made even better by the fact that you don't know who they are.

Ah . . . &mdash 06/20/07 - 12:01:13 PM
the mystique of obscurity!
If only nobody knew anything
about anyone else was doing
all of the time--
the world would be so Indie.

glibly yours,
