Life According to Sam

Description
I had a version of this up before, but I tweaked the pan on the static for those of you who listened before.

I really wanted to do an experimental piece, so I said "what the hell" and went for it. This is the result. It's completely random (except that it is mostly in the key of D) and most likely a work in progress. It's really random and I think it sounds cool. I started with the drums and went from there, doing the most random stuff I could, kind of like Sam's mind. Sam is a 17 year old with severe ADD, Dyslexia, and OCD. This is his life.

cool
this really did give me an idea of the energy and chaos of such a life. i'm wondering if you could be even a bit more adventurous, perhaps at some point make the tempo fall apart to make it a little darker. or find some other ways to express the sensation of ADD, Dyslexia and OCD. it is very promising, i think you could really develop this into something awesome.

another idea
you could switch to a different time signature towards the middle, then come back to 4/4. i like 7/8.

Yes!
I can't comment on the technical aspects of your piece, but with your music you've nailed the essence of your subject (friend) - the consistant repeated patterns in the under current, and the channel flipping, like someone else has control of the darned remote, and the white noise interrupting train of thought, and I suppose there are reversals in this also, but I'm not knowledgeable enough with music to catch it all. But through it all, I feel the lyrical song of his soul. I think you have a gift in seeing beyond the superficial. Very impressive work! I have a friend like this - as if life in general isn't hard enough already.

Thanks
The song itself from a technical standpoint is actually more simple than one would expect. Its kind of like going to a doctor to be diagnosed. Something as simple as a few conversations can affect the way you live for the rest of your life. And I know how it is for your frien (Although I'm sure I don't even know the beginning) I have ADD and OCD although theyre not as severe as this song!
