Lyrics
Wounded Heart

Where you go? Falling down the stairs
Wounded heart again, wounded heart again

When there's no one around
I wish I couldn't be found for good

Wounded heart again

Deep inside, holding back my tears
nothing left to fear, nothing left to fear

There you'll try to find
Nobody's waiting behind for you

Wounded heart again

Seems the years have passed me by
Seems that i have ruined the time
in stead of you

He left his riches and brilliance behind
She heard the tempo, it's hard to remind her now
I'm on the edge of town

Will you ask me to loosen your laces
Now you've been to a million places
Run....after burn

Something you say might crawl under her skin
Wait till the end and then you begin
Slow....undertow

That's nice of you to say. This one was a little different than the others and I'll be posting more in many different genres. Really thanks for the compliment.

ya wounded me David
this is a reason why i have to work harder.

Cool marching drive. with a bit of a drone appeal. You really put your vocals out there. you must of been a little horse after that.

Hey 9's, So sue me!

You've done it again!
This is great, and a very cool sound - a little different from your last one. Nice driving rhythm, and some good guitar work, although some of the guitar seems a bit buried in the mix. The vocal is great - a really strong, attitude-laden performance. To be so prolific and so consistent is truly astounding! Nice work. Peace.

I dwell on the negative
Agree with the guitar comment......isn't mixing a bitch.
Oh and thanks for the kind words.

Ain't it great being Wounded?
Somehow this reminds of Metallica or James Hetfeild, I'm undecided...cool song though!

Tom "Wounded Heart"
Met that dude once in S.F. about 10 years ago, cool guy, but not a huge fan. If it sounds like that, then it sounds like that. I'll take it.

Very fine indeed
I really like the dynamic and bittersweet song structure. Great melody and great combination of guitars and synths. Powerful vocals too. Well done!

Thanks Rebsie
Thanks for commenting on my vocals. I'm always so unsure about them because I'm not really a true singer.
And thanks again for the kind words.

Great!
From the first few notes I knew this was a bit special. I like the use of guitars and synths - it's a very powerful and big production - I like the way you've mixed this - you can hear around all the individual parts if you choose or just sit back a enjoy it as a whole.

Impressive stuff!

Good man Peter
I'm always looking for a balanced sound. I really don't want any one instrument to stick out because I want it to be just a song and not an ego piece.
Thanks a bunch.

Funky electronic groove! Slow and cool, like me. Nice vocals - really strong. Great job, Armbuster.

Impressive stuff!
I'm hearing Jagger too - nothing to do with the strutting beat of course. What a great bed you made for this - dramatic and rich with little changes in notes having a big impact on the mood. I've always liked notes that reoccur through a song despite changing chords. Vocals work well.
A great post!

Really enjoyed "Winds of Change", think it's your best.
Glad that you enjoyed this one. Do you know how much it cost me to get Mick over here to sing?
Thanks for the nice comments and stay tuned for more.

It's all too much!
And that's a GOOD thing...This is really excellent. Brings some retro elements forward in time. Love your vocals too man. Like Vic said above, stuff like this is calculated to make the rest of us work harder. Well done!

Take care!

Good to hear from you
Thanks for the support with the vocals. That's the one thing that I'm rather unsure about(Hard to judge and produce your own vocals, isn't it?).
Really glad you enjoyed it.

What a unique sound you get
are you using GB or something else? What's your setup? I really like the vocals on this one and the space to the production is really well worked out. I'm jealous as all hell. I just got back from vacation and can't imagine putting as much work into music again as you obviously have here. Great track.

cool song, Lav...
I like it, Lava... I think you can go ahead and have confidence in your vocals (based on your words below...) but maybe you have gained that since you posted this quite some time ago! Great piece!
