Description:
This may be a big production number for me. Hope you like it and I always welcome your feedback. ENJOY.Note:The title is "Wounded Heart", not "Wounded" as my friend posted it.
Lyrics:
Wounded Heart
Where you go? Falling down the stairs
Wounded heart again, wounded heart again
When there's no one around
I wish I couldn't be found for good
Wounded heart again
Deep inside, holding back my tears
nothing left to fear, nothing left to fear
There you'll try to find
Nobody's waiting behind for you
Wounded heart again
Seems the years have passed me by
Seems that i have ruined the time
in stead of you
He left his riches and brilliance behind
She heard the tempo, it's hard to remind her now
I'm on the edge of town
Will you ask me to loosen your laces
Now you've been to a million places
Run....after burn
Something you say might crawl under her skin
Wait till the end and then you begin
Slow....undertow

That's nice of you to say. This one was a little different than the others and I'll be posting more in many different genres. Really thanks for the compliment.

ya wounded me David &mdash 06/20/07 - 09:15:50 PM
this is a reason why i have to work harder.
Cool marching drive. with a bit of a drone appeal. You really put your vocals out there. you must of been a little horse after that.

You keep me working &mdash 06/21/07 - 07:19:42 AM
A lot of my stuff has been in the can for months, but I still writing new stuff all the time. People like you also push me to do the best that I can.
Thanks Victor

You've done it again! &mdash 06/20/07 - 10:37:36 PM
This is great, and a very cool sound - a little different from your last one. Nice driving rhythm, and some good guitar work, although some of the guitar seems a bit buried in the mix. The vocal is great - a really strong, attitude-laden performance. To be so prolific and so consistent is truly astounding! Nice work. Peace. [ Reply to This ]
I dwell on the negative &mdash 06/21/07 - 07:22:07 AM
Agree with the guitar comment......isn't mixing a bitch.
Oh and thanks for the kind words. [ Reply to This ]
Ain't it great being Wounded? &mdash 06/20/07 - 10:45:42 PM
Somehow this reminds of Metallica or James Hetfeild, I'm undecided...cool song though! [ Reply to This ]
Tom "Wounded Heart" &mdash 06/21/07 - 07:25:04 AM
Met that dude once in S.F. about 10 years ago, cool guy, but not a huge fan. If it sounds like that, then it sounds like that. I'll take it.

Very fine indeed &mdash 06/21/07 - 07:29:56 AM
I really like the dynamic and bittersweet song structure. Great melody and great combination of guitars and synths. Powerful vocals too. Well done! [ Reply to This ]
Thanks Rebsie &mdash 06/22/07 - 03:40:46 AM
Thanks for commenting on my vocals. I'm always so unsure about them because I'm not really a true singer.
And thanks again for the kind words.

Great! &mdash 06/21/07 - 01:23:08 PM
From the first few notes I knew this was a bit special. I like the use of guitars and synths - it's a very powerful and big production - I like the way you've mixed this - you can hear around all the individual parts if you choose or just sit back a enjoy it as a whole.
Impressive stuff!

Good man Peter &mdash 06/22/07 - 03:43:30 AM
I'm always looking for a balanced sound. I really don't want any one instrument to stick out because I want it to be just a song and not an ego piece.
Thanks a bunch.

Funky electronic groove! Slow and cool, like me. Nice vocals - really strong. Great job, Armbuster.
Looks like I'm not the only one to download it. [ Reply to This ]

Mick Jagger &mdash 06/25/07 - 07:55:36 AM
Am I the only one hearing a bit of Mick Jagger in there? Well Done, great tune.
Cheers

I've heard the Mick thing before, but I don't know why. I'll take it. Hope you enjoyed.

Impressive stuff! &mdash 06/26/07 - 01:05:10 AM
I'm hearing Jagger too - nothing to do with the strutting beat of course. What a great bed you made for this - dramatic and rich with little changes in notes having a big impact on the mood. I've always liked notes that reoccur through a song despite changing chords. Vocals work well.
A great post!

Thanks for listening &mdash 06/26/07 - 01:18:13 AM
Really enjoyed "Winds of Change", think it's your best.
Glad that you enjoyed this one. Do you know how much it cost me to get Mick over here to sing?
Thanks for the nice comments and stay tuned for more.

It's all too much! &mdash 07/04/07 - 08:05:48 AM
And that's a GOOD thing...This is really excellent. Brings some retro elements forward in time. Love your vocals too man. Like Vic said above, stuff like this is calculated to make the rest of us work harder. Well done!
Take care!

Good to hear from you &mdash 07/09/07 - 05:13:38 AM
Thanks for the support with the vocals. That's the one thing that I'm rather unsure about(Hard to judge and produce your own vocals, isn't it?).
Really glad you enjoyed it.

What a unique sound you get &mdash 07/15/07 - 03:31:30 PM
are you using GB or something else? What's your setup? I really like the vocals on this one and the space to the production is really well worked out. I'm jealous as all hell. I just got back from vacation and can't imagine putting as much work into music again as you obviously have here. Great track. [ Reply to This ]
Nice &mdash 07/15/08 - 09:12:13 AM
