Description:
This is another retro-style electronic ditty.

This one has a rather stirring beat and a rather hefty, disorted bass that simply got away from me.

Still learning how to use Orion.

Does the bad quality recording add to or take away from this second in the 'Cheesy-whatsit' series?

Hold on to those Woofers......Only to be played without headphones if you don't like your neighbours.

(It's not to be used as an ice-breaker with neighbours unless you're prepared to move).

Retro style &mdash 06/20/07 - 10:48:31 PM
it may be, but then I guess I'm kind of retro myself. I like this a lot. It reminds me of some 80s sounds, but also something much more modern. It has nice melodic touches, and i love the "bass" keyboard sounds. Kind of like Depeche Mode meets Aphex Twin or something equally hard to put your finger on. Then it has that very "poppy" fade out. Whatever it is, as I say, I like it, I've downloaded it, and I'll be listening to it on the iPod tomorrow. Nice work as ever. Peace.

P.S. Love the keywords...

I just love Depeche Mode and still think that 'A Photograph of You' was one of their (simple) but best singles. I have many tracks of theirs on my iPod. Apex Twins I've heard of but don't know any of their music. (An/other artist/s to check out)!

The bass portion gave me problems with levels but these days the bass is the new lead, in lots of music, probably thanks to Jaco Pastorius and others like him (and it aint a bad thing either). I just know that when I start on some of my mixes that the bass will require 'special' treatment.

Thanks for listening to the mix until the very end. I didn't mention the different ending in my description because sometimes I don't expect anyone to listen all the way through, especially if I dislike the piece myself, but it takes all sorts to make a world and we certainly meet all sorts in this cyber-friendly musical arena.

Thanks for stopping by, listening and then dropping a few lines on here.

Take care.

Paul.

I Like this arrangement &mdash 06/21/07 - 06:20:46 AM
and moreover got a nice chuckle at the key words
so you get bonus points for warped (which I admire)
