The Neck or the Nix refer to shapeshifting water spirits who usually appear in human form.
The spirit has appeared in the myths and legends of all Germanic peoples of Europe.
Their sex, bynames and various animal-like transformations vary geographically.
The German Nix and his Scandinavian counterparts are males, whereas the Geman Nixe or Nixie is a female river mermaid.

... I was going to like this before it even started Mikki. Some very odd things happening as in most of your songs, but odd in a good way. I'd be interested to follow the path of your influences, because you write stuff that is way outside my experience. Is this reflecting something from your Scandinavian background (not the story, but the music)?

....this is exactly why I'm glad you're here at Macjams. This is so interesting musically and lyrically. The subject and lyrics just seem to come from some netherworld that only you seem to have access to. They are perfect for the driving, brooding sound. Another great one, Mikki.

As has already been said, strange, but in a good (interesting) way. Completely gripping from start to finish, and I especially like the way it just cuts out at the end. You clearly did some research on this, which in itself is pretty interesting!

I think that the vocals can be a tad stronger. But I guess it depends on the feel you are trying to display. Its very different than any pop song I have ever hear, but I like the guitar and bass parts and how they counter each other.

I like how the music is understated even when it kicks in, great complexity and sounds. I felt like I didn't know what was coming next.
