12 Ton Kabuki Robot

Description
This was destined to be my entry for LIOLI #5, but I worked too far ahead using only the mandatory loop and completely forgot to utilize a second as required.

You can hear the desert flute loop as both the "elephant trumpet" in the verse and the melody in the chorus.

I never really found a song structure as I worked on this piece, so this is really more of an experiment with some instruments from the Apple World Music Jam Pack and some production and mixing techniques.

Watch out for the Robot!

Clever
Very clever use of the desert flute loop. Asian percussion and synths are well matched to produce a distinctively modern sound.

Riddle
Q: What kind of structure is right for a song about a 12-ton Kabuki robot?

A: Whatever structure it wants.

Transformed
1. Fantastic title (i can see the comic/ movit tie-in working)
2. The song sounds like the title!
3. Your mixing and production is pro-level.
4. I'm just green with envy - this is a graet track!

This a great track - I can't believ how cool
the atmosphere is you've created here. The Kabuki robot is inspired. Do I have permission to add this to the LIOLI list? Missing the one extra loop is a small detail - I really think this should be heard by the other loopers.

I always watch out for Robots
Fascinating state of mind... almost pensive for a while, and then growing resolute and grim towards the end, as if the Robot has had all it can stands (and can't stands no more) and is about to Take Action.

'Course, I could be wrong. Flawless production, beautiful balance of sound and texture AND it gave me an opportunity to quote Popeye.
