Description:
Tried to do something different with the desert flute, and it is certainly a challenge, so I just broke it down. I might have too many sounds (or not enough in the right order) in this track. Hope you enjoy it. :-)

Cool sounds &mdash 06/26/07 - 03:14:34 PM
Like the sounds you got going here, like that hint of Miles with the trumpet. You got me curious about that Kristal audio engine and it's capabilities.

You ought check this person's audio out, maybe do a collab. Your tastes seems to match.

Electronia rocks &mdash 07/01/07 - 12:43:14 PM
Yes I like drum n bass. I also some pop, rock and music with 'real' instruments however for me electronica rocks. I use to be at raves where hardcore developed into drum n bass and so I fondly like drum n bass. :-)

The deal used to be that you &mdash 07/01/07 - 12:44:20 PM
had to use at least four continuous beats of the featured
loop. Beats me if you did that here - but this is a really cool track you put together. How about posting a little more info for people to help us understand what you did? You can edit that part of the submission without losing any comments or anything. I also dig the Miles horn sound and the loping gait of the rhythm. Thanks for posting and taking the challenge.

Trying to be different &mdash 07/01/07 - 01:45:37 PM
Glad you liked it. The desert flute has been warped and chopped up so that it almost phases in and out. I just did not want the desert flute (nice that it is) to dominant the whole track. I did do another track with the desert flute that I was going to submit, but I decided to start again, did this and submitted it. I might submit the first one and see what you think if you like.

Wow... &mdash 07/02/07 - 07:21:42 AM
This is great. The mechanical-sounding rythym is the perfect bed to lay with these tasty touches of musical garnish. (Food metaphors now? I must be missing breakfast.) This works really well, sustains interest and deftly spins a few knuckleballs here and there. (Baseball metaphors?)

Love the piece. Great work.

Love the metaphors &mdash 07/02/07 - 01:03:39 PM
Thanks very much for the comment, I am so glad a) to hear from you b) that you liked the track. Its nice to get this feedback. I cannot wait to hear everyone elses version of the desert flute.
P.s. you threw me with the baseball metaphors.

Groovin' &mdash 07/06/07 - 06:32:55 PM
Definite groovin' beauty exhibited here. I like the dismantled beats that pop all over the speaker space at my listening post. Really great echoing noises throughout the song. I also like the nicely placed hesitations.....

You managed to keep my extra ears waiting in anticipation.

The horns are just as nice for me as everyone else. Not too repetitive and it's definitely unexpected.

Look forward to more from you.

I've downloaded this tune for future enjoyment.
