Description:
if it sounds monotone don't worry that was the point. just random thing that started coming out while i was playing.

Lyrics:
im a robot im a robot
im a robot tonight
i dont really care, i dont really care
i dont really care tonight

the machine keeps turning
never alright
the machine keeps turning tonight

this is the becoming
that trent reznor spoke of
heart turns to steal
lungs turn to lead
blood turns to oil
the engine keeps running
but i'm runnin out of gas

...really like this. The song really captures a mechanical sort of tempo perfectly as if it is accompanied by a machine. It is extremely catchy in a strange (good) sort of way and appeals in a very basic way. It also stresses the dictum that less is more. Well done.
Cheers
Len

thanks &mdash 06/28/07 - 06:29:26 AM
thanks, it amused me. i had thoughts that perhaps eventually i'll add of machine noises in the back and such and sounds like in the song down in it by NIN or i think that's the one.

I like this too &mdash 06/28/07 - 10:39:07 AM
Obviously there are things needed to be done to the mix, and perhaps the song if you wish to add more instruments. Personally, I think the song would remain strong keeping the acoustic you're going with, just a more clean recording. It's a good song.

robots &mdash 03/31/08 - 11:00:03 PM
I'm a sucker for anything about robots! Powerful lyrics. I swear I've felt exactly what this song talks about so any times. Do I relate better to robots than to humans? wow. Anyway, this song is cool. Sounds a lot like a Rivers Cuomo demo...which is about as big as a compliment can get. Cool tune!

thanks! i had so much fun when i made this song. i'm learning to stop worrying about the complexity of songs and that if i like it that's all that matters. something i used to know. this is another one i should record and add some interesting melody guitar to perhaps.

thank you &mdash 04/04/08 - 10:20:20 AM
thanks, the beats were me messing around with whatever came natuarally on my desk lol. i was one of the kids in 1st grade who discovered that pencils are really drumsticks! and your leg is realy a padded snare when you're bored at work or waiting in line :)

The Lyrical theme... &mdash 04/04/08 - 11:33:28 AM
... goes along with the music stylings. The plodding percussion is perfect.

Robots rock (especially with laser guns for eyes, but I digress).

Thanks for sharing!

It's sort of a rebuttle all the Kraftwerk robot songs. It has an interesting feel to it.

I enjoyed it.
