This is another instrumental I wrote. Mitch is the one playing the awesome octave licks you'll hear in this song.

Flashback...
What a great piece! This reminds me of something my
dad used to play for me when I was a kid. Okay, here's my
commentary (and I'm by NO means a guitar expert--just
trusting my ears): It sounds like you need to boost the
low end on the guitars--just sounds a bit "tinny" to me, as
though the mids and highs are too high and the bass ends
are lacking. I could be way off in that comment, so I
apologize to all the guitarists out there! Perhaps that's
why it reminds me of a early 60's tune (and therefore
reminds me of my dad's playing). Either way, I think this is
a wonderfully creative tune.

Flashback...
The thinness is probably due to the type of guitar played. Ovations have
a very thin sound in general. They are not a great acoustic guitar in the
sense of having a full sound. But I make no excuses for the tone or the
sound. Your critism is pretty right on. The song could use some bottom
end. Maybe there is a bass player who could add a track to this song.

Thanks for your comments. I wish I could have played this in the 60's. I
didn't find my muse until 2004 on this one.

nice strummin'
Some good pickin' and strummin' in this pleasant, simple
piece. I like this kind of bare-bones acoustic mix very
much; it's a nice change of pace from multi-track songs.

I agree with MissChaos that the bass might benefit from a
boost. But it sounds good as is too.

Nice Pic
Cool Track too. Used to play acoustic stuff with a friend at
University, always wished we could afford an Ovation.
They do have a thin sound but they were always COOL. I
think they must have been one of the first
electroacoustics.

Like this a lot.

half pound sound
I get the feeling your useing silk and steel strings....my
favorite. They have a liter effect than bronze but it still
sound heaftier than a mandoliln.
Next time you set down and do some recording, do two
tracks of the rhythm guitar. Either on two seperate takes
or just cut and paste the original makes it BIG sound. Use
overdrive and a phaseer on one and the other corus and
what ever you like to best, experimant. Pan one to the
left, the other to the right to your likeing. One push more
bass and mid around and sculp the sound countour to
where its fat and then on the other. Then play the both of
them. I'm surtain with your style, how the above would be
for stage but you'll have a greater stereo impact. I'll ear
up for your next release here on site. keep
picken, sound good,
