Description:
another written and recorded in five minutes. was recorded one track using a condensor mic which is levels aren't perfect (volume of guitar, ect)

Lyrics:
i know it's hard so hard
don't give into pain
i know it's hard so hard
her heart's so cold so cold

don't give into misery
you long to hold her close
i know it's hard so hard
i know it's gone so gone

i know it's black inside
but you have to get by
cut so deep inside
you have to find a way

it'll be alright tonight
something has to break
just keep trying
let go of the pain

i know it's hard so hard
her heart's so dead so dead
just hold on and put the knife back down
some one out there knows you're pain

i know it's hard so hard
falling faster
just keep falling you'll hit the ground soon
just keep falling it;ll all be over soon

i know its hard so hard
her heart's so cold so cold
i know it's hard so hard
but you'll never let her go
you'll never let her go

Hardware:
fender accoustic, condensor mic

Another great story &mdash 06/28/07 - 10:55:26 AM
Like the previous one, this could need some help with the performance and the mixing, but like you say, it was a quick one take. I like the song though, it has a great melody and lyrics that stands in great contrast to the lonely guitar.

indeed &mdash 06/28/07 - 11:14:35 AM
yea performance when recording could always use work. i think i've rather given up on that lol. perhaps if i start feeling confident again i'll record more produced stuff. ive come to the conclusion i'll never record a good quality song so i decided not to even try ne more.

Fine torchered..... &mdash 06/28/07 - 11:53:08 AM
tune - the stripped down sound lends well to the subject matter - still I can hear a doubled vocal & a harmony or two to add to that pain you so well discribe here - perhaps even a chilling cello in the mix - all the same this is intriguing.

well i said i wasnt gonna do a mixed version for a while unless i randomly feel motivated and as ussual the prospect of actually doing something nifty got to me, and it took a whole 10 minutes before i recorded it with more production lol. i could hear a cello or violin or something too, i wish i had a violin.

GOOD JOB! Really like this one as it is so basic and sincere that it catchs your attention and keeps it. You ought to give a listen to some Loudon Wainright III. Your styles and voice are similar and you should be able to pick up some ideas and chords from his music.

thanks, i have another one of this up. i added a guitar that did a tad melody and some simple picking to make it feel like it's not so simple it breaks up the rhythem a titch. ill have to check the music out. i havent been recording in so long, but by myself ive gotten closer to finding my voice i think.
