Description:
I was giving my four year old adopted son a bath the other day and he started screaming "I don't want you daddy". (Kids always say mean crap like that) Well, I had my guitar and I started singing "you're stuck with me" He satarted calling me some more names so I put that in the song too. This isn't the typical style I do but it's the best I could do under circumsatances.

Thanks Rob &mdash 07/16/07 - 11:01:22 AM
It took me a while to figure out the chords to go with the melody, and I had to pratice before I could play it, thats not normal for most of my music. I appreciate that you have an ear that could hear that. Cheers

song, different than I expect from you ( or should i say what originally drew me to your music), but that's what makes it great.

Hyphenated Pholk &mdash 07/16/07 - 11:05:37 AM
I did a folky version.. sounded like the indigo girls, I did a pop classical version(all horns and strings)... too sappy....This version was the most fun to do so Thats why I posted it. Thanks for the words , Latter

You did a very great job, i checked this song while i searched on the style, needed to hear a new song !!!
Very nice music, cool vocal but i wish that it could be natural with a little echo in the background.
Overall, loved this piece, very nice performance.

Hey Birdman! &mdash 07/30/07 - 03:32:31 PM
Thanks for stopping by for a listen I apprecciate it. I will definitely take your suggestion into consideration. For some reason I am using the "rockabilly/track echo " effect latley. I don't know if I like the sound or perhaps I am trying to disguise the sound of my real voice. I will think about that. Thanks for the kind words. Regards

Better Than Blistering His Behind! &mdash 07/30/07 - 02:03:19 PM
I love it!

My four year old son hasn't "inspired" me like this yet. Thanks for the heads up. I only hope my tears don't rust my guitar strings.

Did I mention I love this song?

F'd and D'd

Thanks Buckhorn!

What do you mean? &mdash 07/30/07 - 03:38:01 PM
Its my spanking hand that has the blisters. (just kidding) Im sure your four year old will inspire plenty and hopfully that will not require a visit from child protective services. All kidding aside, thanks for your enthusiatic remarks, I appreciate it. Regards

Poop &mdash 08/02/07 - 08:35:54 AM
He actually started calling me this while I was making up the song, so I just added it in. (I do have a few choice terms of endearment) Thanks for stoppin in. Cheers!

Bloody kids &mdash 08/10/07 - 01:36:35 PM
Great track - the lyrics are funny and sweet at the same time. The vocal is fab - loads of character, a C&W bowie. Cool song ... i hope you play it to him when he grows up!

Love the 'last buck' line.

Oh yea &mdash 08/11/07 - 01:15:27 AM
I'll play it for him when he gets older, only I fear it won't be his cup of tea. He likes the hard stuff. He heared Black Saboth once, now he runs around the house wind milling air guitar and belching " I am ironman." He is adopted afterall. I used to be ambivalent about the nature vs. nurture debate, but after adopting my two kids Im starting to fall strongly to the nature camp. Thanks for the listen and comment. Regards

This tune is fab and I dig how the muse appeared in such adverse circumstances - yow! Easy.

The muse wrote this one straight away in the bathroom, though see does exagerate a little. Take it easy.

love it &mdash 08/10/08 - 07:05:01 PM
I love the "I'm killing you with kindness" approach. It's a cool song. Not bittersweet, but not too sweet either. It's just real and I think that's the draw for me. Great job on the melody and the delivery of said melody. There's a smugness in how you deliver it that's so perfect. Like how is he supposed to come back to that?! perfect!
