Description
The Bowie Theory is the notion, as expressed by David Bowie, that the fall of the CD will mean the bands will have to tour more. This is the -imaginary- story of one of these bands

Lyrics
Hey, guys you really got soul
Let me get you a contract
It’s rock’n roll on the payroll
I just need blood for the pact

I never liked this A&R guy
The way he talks or he moves
His ripped jeans and his red tie
his tail, his horns, his hooves

We totally agree
With the bowie theory
But where’s the audience, where’s the roadie
Where’s the dealer, where’s the groupie
Fromcity to city
All we see
Is our misery

We turned our rock to pop
And then our pop to poop
but we have to tour till we drop
Cos we failed to recoup

Sympathy for the little man
That lost his band to Nanker-Phledge
I got kicked out of the van
Because I fell asleep onstage

We totally agree…

nnnn
this song is nasty in all the right ways. that means i like it.

Also like the lyrical story of a band on the run.

With a title like that...
.. i can't help but love this. Love the intro - great sparse rock chords! A great big grungey track, JC, and the lyrics are sooo good. This is kinda low -fi, but really catchy - the chorus is ace, and I love the little organ line that comes in - that and the tambourine give it a kinda 60's vibe.

The Man woud be impressed.

many bands
boast about doing 3-chords songs, but the Monggz really do it. Only the solo is a five notes extravaganza.

Nice rock out!
Man, you have balls behind that singing, total attitude and those guitar chords are heavy
cjdaley said 869 days ago (July 7th, 2007)
the problem
with balls is they're harder to cast.

Thanks for stopping by.
