This is a fabulous track, B. That bass and the beats (like a heartbeat) added to the instrumental are the perfect complement to Alannah's sultry and evocative vox.
Just a fabulous track all around. Magic!

cool - what a rich vocal sound. Talk about having good material to work with! What makes the track so sweet is the subtlety of the instrumentation and the sound - enough to cradle the vocal, not so much as to overwhelm it. Lots of space. Very nice groove. Nice work. Peace. [ Reply to This ]

Interestingly, my wife mentioned the other night that she thought this sounded like Morrisey. I don't quite get it, I think the voice sounds more like Nina Simone or a similar torch singer....
