more rockabilly then country. funny a cowboy riding the surf with Dick Dale at his side.
This is a great piece on all aspects from the vocals and that killer guitar. What model are you using for the lead parts? [ Reply to This ]
thanks vic ! &mdash 07/07/07 - 12:31:42 AM
i used my fernandes on that one. i really love my 72 les paul but i seem to really be using the fernandes a lot more these days. i love the sustainer pickups although they were not utilized on this one. i used the "new Nashville" sound in my instrument track. [ Reply to This ]
Good stuff &mdash 07/07/07 - 12:48:55 AM
Out of curiousity I wish you added some more information, like who is singing and the lyrics etc.... but I respect that you want the song to stand alone and speak for it self. I dig the bass and guitar and vocal. I like to use" new nashville" also and the rockabilly track echo on the vocals. I'm glad you posted this, I'll check your other stuff in due time. I like the sound. Mix of music and lyrics is well done. Is there an "Isabella" in your town? ;) The bass-line really sets the mood. Thanks for sharing. [ Reply to This ]

Great guitar sound &mdash 08/16/07 - 10:10:09 PM
and this song has quite a drive. Good stuff.
Towards the end where the bass plays only root-fifth it becomes a decent country two-step; in most of the track it's definitely more rockabilly. It has a bit of a Stray Cats vibe.
