Description
My friend and mentor, Bob Francisco passed this spring, very suddenly. I was happy to accept his CD collection when his widow offered it to me, and today while cleaning the ranch, I have been listening to his music and thinking alot about him.

This song was on a cd that came up in the shuffle, something I had recorded and burned to disk to hear it thru a stereo system.....I had posted it briefly here, but pulled it down to save it for further work.

When I heard it today mixed in with Bob's favorite's it filled me with his spirit, so i am posting it now in his honor. He loved improvised music, and this was a piece that was born in the time it took to record it.

Thanks for everything, my friend.

A great tribute to a terrific friend
That is great to have a friend such as this and what an honor to have his widow offer the cd collection.

Ya , a very reflective type of improv. piece. One that I am sure that Bob approves of.

Way to see, very pleasurable to listen to the cool way Z gently milks his beloved electric guitar.

yes...
the gift of his cd collection was wonderful. he had a varied and excellent taste in music, and spent a few bucks building his library.

what a special gift....the whole library is loaded into a 300 disc cd changer, that is kinda like a prehistoric iPod....I set it up in the big room in my house, and listen to bob music weekly....3/4 of this music i have never heard! I also use the machine to listen to mixes i have done, and that's how this tune got mixed in with his...

thanks tiler

Sad and thoughtful
I love the way you play Fran - there's something about the tones you get that I haven't heard elsewhere. You go from soft and subtle to full howl in a breath, and yet still manage to keep the whole thing so beautifully controlled.
Bob would be a proud man to hear you play this for him I'm sure.

If heart had a tone...
...this would be it...

Lovely fullness cranked up in the headphones...depth and to spare, and wonderful dynamics....

A lovely tribute that is full of feeling...not a false note...
