ej hey DJW. all those drums sounds came off of one of our old piece of equipment Yamaha 510, ALL midi no samples in real time and unquantized, which we no longer use or have. So you know it is an old track. Now I use Korg N5, only as a trigger. I extract patches very seldom from this board. For situations like rain, dog, or cat, ie Surviving the Storm, I use the board because it sounds better. Others I may sample a CD and back it with distant reverb while filtering out the lows For mastering your mixes DJ, record the HIGHEST fidelity possible. 1) Adjust the low ends first (800-1000hz) towards the center. 2) Adjust your a-attack, b-release, c-ratio. 3) Lower the threshold. 4) Repeat ALL above for high ends. 4) Tune threshold on both channels. 5) Gain together. 6) Tune dry and wet mix. 7) Reverb and delay. 8) Gated reverbs on toms. That's all there is to it. You've mastered. Three years ago I did not know this. But now I am just warming up. Thanx. Check out my latest song called J-Walking
