Description:
I posted this song yesterday, then decided to play with it some more. rewrote some lyrics and panned a few things a little differently.
Anyway, I'm tired of it now though, so it's probably done.

Lyrics:
Oh, what have you done? A little something to get tucked away. And should we open now our brand new things, or save them for a lovely day?
Some things are lost as others are found, and you have to buy two tickets if you bring your clown. I would have loved to've seen things work out just as they did, and taking count I'm glad I missed.
I'm waiting for the moment, but the monsters come too soon. I hesitat a moment. Breathing might get me consumed.
Oh, what can I say to take these vivid dreams the fuck away? 'cause if I'm not at the window with a moon lit cigarette, then behind me lies a brand new day. I lost my crown. Have you seen it since it put me down? I'm hiding from the creep deep down inside us with our gun.
I hope that little child is having fun.
I'm waiting for the moment, but the monster comes too soon. I hesitate a moment; anything for you, when I am lost and then exhumed...still breathing.

Stunning... &mdash 07/19/07 - 03:50:28 PM
Very powerful lyrics delivered with understated and therefore powerful vocals. Impeccable production and gifted guitar. Very reminiscent of Peter Gabriel in my opinion. Thank you.
Cheers

Len's right - I think your amazing vocals are reminiscent of Peter Gabriel. The guitars are really rich and sound good at full volume.

Great stuff! Keep it coming!

Beautiful Voice &mdash 07/19/07 - 05:37:29 PM
I think your lyrics and guitar playing are terrific, but your voice is the most compelling aspect of this song. I don't hear Peter Gabriel, though I can connect the raspy quality. I'm thinking more of the lead singer from the Psychedlic Furs and another artist who's name escapes me at the moment! I really enjoyed this. Sorry you grew tired of it.

tired of breathing &mdash 07/19/07 - 07:15:58 PM
Well, I'm sure it's only a temporary mindset. You see, this songs been kicking around in one form or another since about 1998. Every time I record it it changes a bit and I learn something from and about it.
I highly doubt this will be its last breath...sorry. that was lame.

Thank you for your kindness. Vocals are always a nightmare to record, as we all know, and I can never capture those moments that make me feel like a singer.
Every time I record a song I redo the vocals again and again and they're just never right, so when someone actually goes out of thier way to compliment my singing it really means a lot. Thanks.

Great song &mdash 07/19/07 - 07:42:44 PM
There's a romantic crooner inside you fighting to get out. Your delivery is great, and I'm trying to kill a slightly sluggish fly while I listen to this; a perfect moment. HUGE LEAD!! Despite the downtempo 'experimental' tag on this, there's a lot of classic rock here, too. (Hey, David Gilmour, you're an old fat rich bastard; watch your back....)

Whew! Quite a listen.

Do another one, friend......

okay, I will &mdash 07/19/07 - 07:52:00 PM
I've always toyed with the idea of "crooning". I love that vibe. There's so much class to that whole bobby darin scene. Maybe someday, when all my other oats are sewn.
Or when I'm just an old rich bastard ... with complete artistic control.

Coffee and cigarettes have been a staple of my diet for almost half my life. They are the driving force behind almost everything i create; that and sleep deprivation.
Also, I like to use the word "dig", so all in all your comment is held with the highest regards.
