Description

This is another composition from my Senior Recital, although this is not the live performance. There were significant errors made during that performance so I decided to post this MIDI performance instead. WARNING: This is not a PRETTY little song! It is dense with discord. It is meant to be that way. Any resemblance to G.H.W. Bush's New World Order is entirely intentional. This piece was written before 9/11/2001 but now has even more import and relevance. It is meant to reflect the anxiety I feel when I hear our 'beloved' leaders speak.

	Great stuff! This must have sounded spectacular live. Pity about the player errors. This is only the first movement? The sense of anxiety is palpable. Brass is good at conveying that threatening atmosphere. I'm curious about the rest of the piece. This is a very promising opening. Check out my latest song called Desert Stars

Yes, the actual brass had a much better timbre to it, but there were a couple of major timing errors that really fouled it up badly. I might post it if you would like to hear it, but it is not what I wished it to be.

As for the other movements, I do have the second one and will probably post that one. I've planned a third movement, but have not written it as yet. It is to be a more hopeful movement - maybe that's why I haven't been inspired to write it. Maybe January 2009! ; )

The second movement is entirely based on the whole tone scale. It is entitled Apathy. Look for it in the coming week.
