Description:
I need to keep up my quota of 2 songs per month, so here is my second posting this month. Hope you all enjoy! The mixing has been difficult on this one, so let me know it it sounds ok on your equipment. To ME, there is a distorted sound in the kick drum and in the bass line (but only on occasion). Thanks for listening and take good care! Peace!

nice rich meandering lush theme... not necessarily full of fear, but there's a slight ominous feel to this... mostly it is DRIVING, nice deep bass, but yes I hear a little crunch of distortion in spots... but I would hate to lose the brain-wobbling bass by tweaking it much. This feels like a good soundbed, but is missing a nice melody line to hold onto... I'd drop the voice sfx and add some sweet singing siren... Mysti? :-)

Singing Siren... &mdash 07/22/07 - 11:23:55 AM
Ahh, Drak! Good idea. Thanks for your wonderful review of my latest offering. I am not a lyricist, so if someone would be knowledgable and willing to both write some haunting words to this track as well as sing, that would be an awesome treat, for sure. I would really like to have someone be able to write lyrics and put vocals into my music. I get frustrated that I am not talented enough to write and sing as well. That is what my music is missing and I long for that. I've been very busy lately, Drak, so if you know of anyone who might be interested in the above mentioned task, feel free to point them in my direction. I am always open to whomever is willing to work with me and I would enjoy it very much! Take good care Eduard! Be well! Thanks for stopping by!

Sounds excellent! &mdash 07/22/07 - 06:34:56 PM
Nice writing Richard! This one is now one of my favorites. I didn't hear any "real" distortion as you mentioned. I'm listening on my Mackie's and a KRK sub, which can handle a lot of low end.

Possibly, the bass line is causing what you mentioned. It's got a ton of volume around 40hz. I did hear a couple of fuzzy bass notes, but I'm not sure if they are peaking, or just the low frequency of the notes. Knowing you, the tracks aren't peaking :)

Glad to hear you've still got enough free time to crank out tunes- I wish I could say the same :( Take care Richard!

SCHWEET TRACK! &mdash 07/22/07 - 10:44:23 PM
Nice one dude! I love anything that has a DM feel to it. It needs a really good voice on it. It could be an amazing track with vox. A really cool melody over top of this would set it off!

Hey Doc! &mdash 07/22/07 - 11:04:04 PM
Thanks much, man!! Compliments much appreciated! I agree that vocals would do this track justice, Doc. Since I am not a singer or lyricist, i am unable to do this alone. If you know of anyone who might be interested in doing such a thing, please send them on over. I'd be extatic! Glad you liked it, Doc! Thanks for taking the time to check it out too. Take good care! Be well, my friend!

Really enjoyed this offering Boris &mdash 07/30/07 - 10:03:21 PM
I like the use of the voice recording and the bass progression is really strong - I hear a little Malaguena theme hiding in there. Very cool. Thanks for posting.
