lovely ups and downs &mdash 07/22/07 - 11:19:54 AM
and sparkling mordents. Really enjoyable listen, with a lot of rich melodic material, and your usual wonderful piano playing! My only problem with this is that it is recorded with the volume a little low, and it seems to be missing some of the bass and treble (richness and sparkle) that it could have. Still, it is quite good enough for me to add to my growing favorites of yours. Thank you for sharing your music!
ttfn,
Drakonis

The imagiination wanders... &mdash 07/22/07 - 12:26:37 PM
hmmm...this is amazing music...its a gothic european waltz requiem testimonial of notes regarding the lowest moments of the human condition, like I said the imagination wanders but great music is a vehicle for the meandering mind.

Hi Yeman &mdash 07/22/07 - 03:50:08 PM
Good to meet you and hear from you. I read your Bio and feel bad about all you have been through. Music is the glue the unites Mankind, regardless of race, religion or color, and that is wonderful!
I will be going to China for about 10 days, looking forward to hear their music there. That means I won't be able to visit MJ as much as I would like.
Look forward to listen to your music too...I think is cool you know Feter also. Take care!

The feeling I had &mdash 07/22/07 - 04:58:57 PM
from this piece is that you are sad because you are missing someone. But, at the end, your heart jumps at the expectation of seeing this person again. Wonderful piece of composing as usual Enrique. Faved & downloaded. :-)

God bless,

Rick

Your playing... &mdash 07/24/07 - 09:56:36 AM
...is, as usual, such a delight to listen to. You play with such skill and precision that I never have to worry about the "performance." ... This sad-happy tune goes through a number of variations, all of which you handle with great ease. Like I have said about earlier pieces of yours, your ability to string out variations on a theme is pretty remarkable and always delightful. I agree with Drakonis (above) about the volume and general mix. I don't know if you are using the Ivory pianos for this, but it sounds like the richness of the bass kind of drops out...My only other thought would be the length of the number: it ends rather abruptly. Seems like there might be a little more juice to this theme.
You are such a great talent, Enrique, and I am enjoying your classical compositions immensely.
Peace.
Paul

Van Cliburn &mdash 07/31/07 - 04:59:06 AM
Reminds me of Van Cliburn playing Chopin. Very engaging piece, and it really shows your influences, of many great classical composers. You have a fine technique, and an excellent imagination.

I use Ivory also, and find it to be a very good program. I have also recently discovered Native Instruments Akoustic Piano, and I like that one even better than Ivory. The Steinway is amazing, plus it does not tax my computer as much -- less dropouts and other performanc issues.

Best wishes to you in China. The furthest I've gone out of the USA is Niagara Falls. I envy you.
