Description
This is my entry in the MJ Vocals Game :V4C01. Both vocal tracks impressed me so much that I decided to combine them. I liked Rebsie's slower tempo, so I slowed down Richard and then pitched him to something approximating a harmony. Then came the task of slicing and dicing to more or less match phrasing. After that I decided that atmosphere was the best accompaniment to set off their voices so I raided the effects loops. The bass drum is thunder and there's a forest at night and a ship at sea in there too.
Thanks to Brian for setting this up and to Rebsie and Richard for their wonderful vocals. I look forward to hearing the efforts of the other participants.

Lyrics
The minstrel boy to the war is gone,
In the ranks of death you'll find him;
His father's sword he hath girded on,
And his wild harp slung behind him;
"Land of Song!" cried the warrior bard,
"Tho' all the world betrays thee,
One sword, at least, thy right shall guard,
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"
The Minstrel fell! But the foeman's chain
Could not bring that proud soul under;
The harp he lov'd ne'er spoke again,
For he tore its chords asunder;
And said "No chains shall sully thee,
Thou soul of love and brav'ry!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free
They shall never sound in slavery!
In the ranks of death you'll find him;
His father's sword he hath girded on,
And his wild harp slung behind him;
"Land of Song!" cried the warrior bard,
"Tho' all the world betrays thee,
One sword, at least, thy right shall guard,
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"

Could not bring that proud soul under;

to match the voices. interest experiment in syncing them up, And a lot a hair pulling I'm imagining. The music you chose matches the period as well.
