Description:
a big dumb rock song - I don't usually write songs like this, but I recently got a wah wah AND a cowbell. It was out of my hands, really.......
Lyrics:
you've got the remedy - you've got the rhymeyou've got the riddle and you don't have time
you've got your latitude - you've got your line
you've got your platitude - you don't need mine
if circumstance is any sign, I wonder
what's underneath the silly grinny grin grin?
you've got a face that you can hide things under
will you let me in?
such a pretty world can make you weep
you dream about it when you go to sleep
no place to shake me off - no place to hide
I'm creepin' up, I'm gonna get inside
if circumstance shows any sign of blunder
I'll learn to take it on my chinny chin chin
your hands are quaking at the sound of my thunder
you're gonna let me in....
you've got your solitude - your peace of mind
a pure oasis of your own design
there's a perfect world - beneath the lies
if I look into your eyes
if circumstance is any sign, I wonder
who's gonna take it from the thinny thin thin?
you reek abundance and it's ripe for plunder
you're gonna let me in, oh you gotta let me in
oh, I'm gonna get me in, oh, you're gonna let me in......
yes, it's me that's cast the spell you're under
you're gonna take it on the chinny chin chin
I'll huff and puff until you're blown asunder
you're gonna let me in.......

Just a really nice sound. A very appealing vocal. Pro souding production.
Your dumb songs are smarter than most. They don't all have to be "stairweay to heaven" or "the day the music died" . "happy birthday to you"
and "auld lang syne" have stood up rather well over time. Your excellence continues. Regards

all round performance. great lyrics very well sung and the arrangement/production is very proffessional. Love the voice... and the percussion sound, M
Scott Carmichael
you always seem to make sure that your writing is really about something... this give a song an emotional target to shoot for.. a trajectory if you will... It allows people to respond on a deeper level...
the writing here is great... coupled with an incredible instinct for a tunes direction...
once your compass is set... you know the most effective way there
Hiya Brian, I am here on the invitation of lengold and it has surprised me in pleasant way. Your rock sound is accessible, yet has a distinct presence. Good bridge, smooth and well executed lyrics, yes I like the composition. Hahhaha, I tried to pay close attention, and those criteria struck to my mind. I am more of an experimental electronic artist (ahum;)). Good show!

This is a fun song, but like Scott said, it goes deeper. I love the instrumentation and the arrangements in this. I can easily see this getting on the radio.
Vic Holman
excellent tune from you. If I could only get that vision of Will Ferrell playing the cowbell out of my head forever.;-)

I was actually thinking of him whilst playing it. "channeling", if you will......
"guys, guys! I put my pants on one leg at a time - except when I do, I make gold records......" love it.
thanks for listening.

Awesome groove and a great production for GB.

coupled with great playing and vocals. I too am hearing The Smashing Pumpkins with that intro (but not as noisy).

OK, it takes guts to sing "chinny chin chin" in a rock song....
But you somehow pull it off. Great guitar break. You should right songs like this more often. I love the bass descending, really carries the song. Love the wah, the cowbell....MORE COWBELL!!!!
You should open up those pipes and wail like this all the time....nice.

there was some wacked out song in the mid 90's by Green Jelly that had that chinny chin chin line in it. always cracked me up. I was kinda thinking of that.
