Makes me think &mdash 07/28/07 - 09:51:58 AM
of stories my grandma told us kids- she used to ride on the back of grampa's Harley and wave at the cops. Hard toimagine... Thanks for sharing this with us, Steve, it is a lovely tribute to your grandma.

Thank you so much you are always so encouraging. You know Roxy that lovely picture of your Grandma on the back of a harley I'd love to hear more. Sounds like you have plenty to go on for your poetic talents maybe!
Thanks Roxylee.

Hi Steve &mdash 07/28/07 - 07:23:20 PM
A few things jump out at me right away... you are a natural singer... the melody tells the story along with the wonderful emotion that you seem to effortlessly pull out of your voice... those disonent moments in the string arrangement provide a tension for those moments... but I wish I had the lyric for the full effect... no big deal... it's not like I can't understand the words...

excellent work my friend

We used to have... &mdash 07/29/07 - 08:47:16 PM
...a MJer by the name of Charlie Chen (he has vanished without a trace)who did this sort of thing. I've been missing his stuff. And you come along with this lovely little gem. Not enough of a connection between the generations these days. It's something to lament. So much gets lost. This tune reminds of the value of extended families and inter-generational contacts. Beautifully played and sung Steve. Well done bro!

Take care!

Like that &mdash 08/07/07 - 06:38:07 AM
singing, especially the tremolo in then vocal cords. The guitar make a terrific backround. I like how you go back to the past and REALLY bring out a very special place in time! Lots of people when they write can loose the interest in the audience. But that is a special gift to obtain the audience's attention and you do that nicely.

This is a nice treat, to hear the first song this morning and have it be such a sweet one like this.

Wow Steve! &mdash 09/28/07 - 11:13:49 AM
You really have a "Geddy Lee" quality to your voice. Beautiful story. You always hit a heart string with me on your acoustic stuff. Your voice is FILLED with so much emotion on this.

Great job!

Peace.
