Description:
This was my entry in a remix competetion, where we had to use a least a bit of the vocal. I decided to have a progression of beats that finishes in a Drum and Bass style. When the competition finished I listened to the winners and all three had done house (don't wish to sound bitter, but they were pretty boring entries except one slightly interesting computer game sounding track). I feel that the people in charge were looking for a certain style as there were better entries esp a dub track that I thought should have won. But there you go. Hope you enjoy the track and all comments are gratefully received.

Thought you would like it &mdash 07/30/07 - 12:44:29 PM
with all those beats. The bass I manage to get from a free loop pack, unfortunately I cannot remember which one, but a lucky find. Thanks for listening and glad you like it.

Wet Electrics &mdash 08/03/07 - 05:11:46 PM
Besides the bassline, my favorite thing is that wet watery sound. The Star Trek/Atari noises (a bad description) are extremely cool too. Loads of great things happen in this tune of yours.

I also like the female vocals. You've got to let it go....

3/4 of the way through - things change. This crazy pulsating beat pounds it's way through.... Oh yeah.

Divine.

laughter was a good choice for the ending.

I'm faving this AND downloading it!

Thanks for the compliment of downloading it as well, I'm really glad you like it. This track was one of the first tracks I did. Also it was for a competition, so I wanted as much going on as possible and make sure it would stand out.

love this! really really clean sound, great little touches all over the place, wonderful use of delayed chorus on the aux percussion, perfect sampling style. one thing, when the drumandbass really starts building after the breakdown, I was kind of waiting for the beat to really drop the whole time. The snare wasn't dirty enough for my taste, and there wasn't enough of that overcompressed, grungy syncopated percussive gore that really defines dark drumandbass for me. but then again, that's a really personal thing, and I'm a huge bong ra fan, so I certainly won't judge your expert production skills based on that.
