Description:
Many MANY hours later...
The possibilities in writing a piece of music act as a metaphor for how we live our lives. In the end, the choices are all ours to make...or not but our personal legends depend on them.

a song without words

The dissonances are incredibly sweet... &mdash 07/29/07 - 11:03:37 AM
...and the melody just melts my heart.

I'm so amazed at the quality of your instrumentation. What's the program you get your sounds from? So, so fine, Paul.

Here's the problem, Paul: &mdash 07/29/07 - 08:36:38 PM
I've just written too many comments on your songs, and I'm running out of things to say that I haven't said, 'CAUSE I SHOW UP FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY BLESSED ONE...

Ahem. RIght, then.

Okay. Here's something that I maybe haven't said yet:

I like that you write melodies, and that the melodies you are write are hummable or singable, sound like they're inviting words, and, while they're definitely based in the piano world, they don't sound just like some guy sitting down and slowing arpeggiating chords over and over...

airs and graces &mdash 07/29/07 - 09:20:35 PM
It's like walking in a green deep long valley, there flowers grows wild on both hillside, the sun is shining, a few clouds is up on the sky... And I sit and wonder why it not could be like this all the time.

Thanks my dear friend for this beauty

Take care

Lovely piece Paul &mdash 07/30/07 - 07:02:15 AM
This sounds more cinematic soundtrack than classical - more "popular music" than Bach if you will. Having said that, it's still a wonderful bit of work which sounds like the intro to a serious Scandinavian movie - can see the credits rolling, but can't quite make out the title ;)

Sounds of winter and pine forests as far as the eye can see - maybe even on a lake within the forest. Classy work!

btw, I also had a What If? post at http://www.macjams.com/song/19004

Love &mdash 07/30/07 - 08:04:57 AM
how the backround floats in the backround. Like that guitar synth fingerpicking! And the list goes on.

What a pleasure to listen to.

Terrific!

A Macjams Gen! Come to think of it, I think all your tunes are macjams gems. But this one has a lot of high class musical classical-comtemorary depth. So well thought out !

Other people have already beaten me to it :-)

Another classy piece of work Paul.

WOnderful instrumentation that sounds effortless but I bet it isn't.

Cheers

Lovely music &mdash 07/31/07 - 07:01:39 PM
Reflective and thoughtful. You certainly know how to orchestrate to bring out those emotions in the melody. As always, very pleasing to listen to, and have playing in the background as I work on 'paperwork' on the computer.

So gentle &mdash 08/08/07 - 10:32:39 AM
and calm, peaceful and introspective. I feel like walking in the forest after hearing this. There is alternately sunlight and shade on the path, and it opens up into a field of flowers, with butterflies. :-)
