The bass and rhythm guitar on this one had a little bit of a Stones feel to it. Lyrics were very cool. Great solo coming in at just the right time. Your usual tasty stuff Steve!

Good song with... &mdash 07/31/07 - 12:02:23 PM
lots of potential - good writting ,playing & production - my only beef is that the repetitive drum track creates drag & takes all the power & drive out of the song - rework the drums and I believe that would really push the song forward in a big way.

Blessings,

i get that sixties vibe from this track......but that solo was timeless.....nice expression.......!

i could listen to that... for a loooong time without turning the music off.

but i also agree about the drums. could use a little work. or get PV to do a drum track for you.

Good &mdash 08/03/07 - 03:01:35 PM
song and nicely played. I particularly like your voice, with nice rich tones, but just a little more separation from the guitar would be good for me (just me). Love the lead play and the treatment of the song,( I agree about the drums though), cheers M

Rich and rare &mdash 08/03/07 - 04:37:59 PM
Good stuff Steve - much better bass definition than you usually have, also it's nicely played. Always enjoy your approach to guitar - both rhythm and lead tracks are outstanding here. That tone you get is so rich, and is definitely (along with the foghorn) your signature sound. Foghorn also in fine form. Would have probably gone for some more variation in the drum track, but a minor nit. This has a Go-Betweens feel to it to me.
Like it.
Cheers,
Neil
