Description:
I really don't know what to think of this track. I was under the influence and tainting of the "I hate my song syndrome", so I honestly can't tell whether I like this song or not and what else I will do with. The high bass sequence sounds kind of like a bird, and the vox morphs sound aqua-ish, so i guess Albatross is suitable. This is a work in progress. Please let me know what you think of it. If you have any suggestions, good OR bad, don't hesitate. I'm running really low on inspiration. Thanks all!
Enjoy!

wonder what's with the "1" votes here &mdash 08/01/07 - 05:47:24 AM
because this is a heck of a lot better than some of the dance tracks i've listened to.

You're right, it's not finished but it makes a great base for something that could be. A good strong melody line is, i think, what is needed most. Either instrument or voice (lyrics).
Perhaps variation in the drums. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks! &mdash 08/01/07 - 06:59:25 AM
Wow. I didn't expect anyone to actually download this. Thanks for the input bro! I'm partially lazy to get more melodies added to the song. Part of the problem has been that GB won't play it all at the same time, due to a lack of power (1 Ghz = :( ). Makes it hard to develop stuff with lots of instruments involved. Thanks again man.
Peace

I think the vote must be a mistake &mdash 08/19/07 - 05:31:14 PM
This is actually a good hypnotic trance track. I like the subtle sounds and the melody. I don't know if there are any improvements I could offer, maybe have some fx sounds or a slight breakbeat going through it, pulsing in and out. Maybe. Well have fun with the finishing of the track anyway, thats the main advice, have fun making music. [ Reply to This ]

Nice track! &mdash 11/13/07 - 03:41:39 PM
I love the melodies and other elements that come in after things get moving along. Something I have been toying around with as of late, is "finessing" sounds into one another to try and create a kind of morphing effect. Kind of hard to explain, because I havn't posted some of the things I have been doing that with. I have "finessed" sounds/elements in some of my more recent tracks though. It's a delicate balance, so that one sound doesn't over-power the other. Delicately balancing and fading in and out of things gently. Also, you might want to experiment with adding some thick and juicy pads or even some choral voices meandering in and out here and there. That's always a nice etherial touch and give a sense of large open space and ambiance. Hope this helps. I loved this track! Keep up the good work! Be well!
