Fallen Marlon (Take Two)

Description
I fixed the ending on the previous version so that it fades out better.

This is a song I wrote using the keyboard on GB before I discovered musical typing. It was an exercise in harmony underneath a repeated figure.

Shortly after I wrote Marlon Brando died, so I named it for him.

RIP

Interesting Soundscape...
Sadness and tension. I did not hear the previous version. This one does just fine. The harmonic overtones work well with the structure. Subtle pauses add to the overall mood. The fade is nice.

First Version
The first version was exactly the same except for the ending, which didn't fade but kind of just stopped.

Thanks to lengold I went back and fixed it.

Thanks for coming by and commenting.

Very nice...
Moody and haunting. And a better ending than the previous version. Well done.
Cheers
Len

Thanks Again lengold
Thanks for your comments from before. At first I didn't think I could fix the ending, but after I thought about it knew that I could.

Thanks for pointing that out before. I think it works much better this way.

Simple . . .
Thanks, Doug for commenting on the song. The only thing that really changes in the song are the bass notes. The melody is the same all the way through.

I wrote it using the keyboard typing which is why the melody was always the same.

Thanks again, your comments are appreciated.

Sorry I'm a little late to the party here, just discovering you today after you kindly took the time to comment on one of my songs (thanks!). I didn't hear the first version yet, but this one is very haunting, there's an anticipation it creates in me that's hard to describe, but it made me listen through to the end. I'm anxious to hear the rest of your offerings. This is very cool thanks again

This does create-
atmosphere, a very uneasy sort of tension, with just a dash of normality that keeps you unsettled. That feeling we all enjoy but don't know why. It's funny I wrote a piece like this many years ago called -The darkness beneath the stairs- it related to when I was a kid and being uneasy about what was under the stairs in my grandmother's big old house,- of course there was nothing there at all really, but I still remember it well.

This is a complete change in direction, i do like it but as I said - don't know why. It's a sort of flavour if you know what I mean.

John.

Electronic lament
Very nice. Repetition with variation, using few but well-chosen sounds. I like.
