Hardware:
Godin Solidac electric guitar, Fender Jazz bass
Software:
GB, Drums on Demand single hits

.. we're almost related - I understand Seagull make the Godin electrics, and it sounds very nice here in all it's disguises ;)
Clear production stands out immediately, but this certainly didn't go where I was expecting it to. The start of the drums lifted the mood considerably. Wow, single hits in DoD must have taken some time - almost like midi without the stucture - but it sounds really good, and on second listen, some of that would have been difficult in midi. Nice playing, especially the bass. Room for some vocalising too.
Clear as a bell - congratulations on the final mix.

drum insanity &mdash 08/03/07 - 12:24:31 PM
Thanks Neil. Yes, the drums took forever. I used several tracks and tried to build them based on what a real drummer would do. By the end of the song, GB was painfully slow (and crashed a few times) due to the hundreds of drum hit .wav files. But it was fun to do, as was the playing. I'm more of a bass player (thanks for the compliment, btw), but I also like messing around with guitar - especially one as versatile as this Godin. [ Reply to This ]

reminds me of an old fender vibra champ...perfect for this song!! i am officially mesmerized.......as far as the dod locking GB up, i feel your pain... i went out and got 1gb or memory,175.00 u.s, 25 dollars more than 2~512 chips, and now i do not have to lock everything as i record it... i cannot do the dod's like that tho... you must have infinite patience.......
