Description:
Musical and lyrical coverage of the 1989 Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia

Lyrics:
What you’re feeling now may have been (when you take it all around)
Obviously, you’ve thought it through haven’t you (got all the time you need)
Let there be a time, it’s often the wrong place
Want to reach your mind but it’s too clean for the scene

CH

Hey – to the Velvet Revolution
Hey – livin’ in the underworld
Hey – that is your concern
Hey – come on join the Velvet Revolution

Before you wished and now you realise
It isn’t what you thought brought you harmony

CH repeat

Let there be a time, it’s often the wrong place
Want to reach your mind but it’s too clean for the scene

Hey, that’s your concern
Hey, livin’ in the underworld
Hey, that’s your concern
Hey………

CH repeat

Where confessions are not true

CH repeat to fade

Cool song .. &mdash 08/04/07 - 05:29:30 AM

.. kinda grunge/pop: I could picture Pearl Jam or
Creed doing this one. Keep 'em coming ...

Silence &mdash 08/04/07 - 08:18:29 AM
Really like the slow build-up on this (and i dont mean the intro silence), and then the killer chorus comes in. this is an odd song, in that its kinda heavy sounding, but also has some nice keyboard riffs that soften it (reminds me a little of Simple Minds). Your voice sounds ace on this, and a really dig the 'big' production gloss you've given this. The chorused guitar sounds alittle muddy, but other than that, really liked the mix on this.

Welcome to MJs - glad to meetcha!

Thanks &mdash 08/04/07 - 08:41:58 AM
Cheers Steve,

I just love MJ's.

I'm in the process of altering some of the people involved in these recordings.

"Flatch" who plays guitar on this any many other trax was really pleased that I uploaded this one. It was he who told me about the Revolution and we ended up with the song.

Both of us like Simple Minds so I can relate to your comment.

We have a few others along the same genre musically all from 1994.

I'll drop by and listen to your work !!

Ciao,

Steck
