Description:
Mother Nature
Lyrics:
V 1
Butterfly, flutters by, you and I yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
Butterfly soars so high, made me cry yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
CH 1
Then you crush my wings (yeh ah)
Couldn't let me sing (yeah ah)
V 2
Irides more means less, lifes a mess yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
Keep things fresh, flush my flesh, bodies met yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
CH 2
Then you crush my wings (yeh ah)
Killed a fragile thing (yeah ah)
SOLO
Butterfly, flutters by, you and I yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
Butterfly soars so high, made me cry yeah
(oah oah oah ah)
CH 3
Then you crush my wings (yeh ah)
Wouldn't let me sing (yeah ah)
Butterfly still quite shy, transient happiness leads me to sigh,
Butterfly flit on by, pass me lose me, without me you'll die,
Butterfly still quite shy, transient happiness leads me to sigh,
Butterfly flit on by, pass me lose me, without me you will soon die.

Classic sound, nice lyrics evoking the poetry and elusiveness of freedom, fragility, lust and love, simply yet uniquely told. I'd love to know more about this track, when you recorded it, who is singing, etc. Thanks for sharing it. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks very much for the kind words Tobin.
I had completely forgotten about this one until I refound the tape of these particular sessions.
Vocalist Lynne responded to an ad in the papers I think around 1995/1994. This recording of Butterfly was my interpretation of what she had written at that stage.
I do the backing vocals/all instrumentation other than guitar (Dave "Flatch" Fletcher).
There are a few moree worthy of uploading. I didn't there would be much on tape generally worthy of releasing but I appear to be proven wrong :-)
Most if not all of my *4 track* recordings are actually *3 track* as one track was always devoted to the sync track before I went digital in 1998.
