Love the vocal &mdash 08/15/07 - 11:22:34 PM
Nice tune. Loved the vocal and melody. Needs some bass and some of the cymbal hits seemed off a little. Lot of potential here.

Solid Start &mdash 08/16/07 - 12:26:02 AM
Yeah, in addition to badly-needed bass, this tune needs some variety in the drum section... fills, transitions, etc.

But it's a nice, clean vocal and some good guitar work.Just build it from here.

Welcome to MacJams, pablatone. ;)

This is a nice song. It has a lot of potential. Your smooth vocal fits perfectly. With a little more instrumentation this could be killa.

Keep up the good work. If this is your first one, it's nice.

Nice &mdash 08/16/07 - 03:40:41 AM
I agree with the above comments. Great tune but could be worked on a little more. Definately needs bass. You could post in the forum seeing if anyone wants to play bass on the track?

Nice vocal rythm!

That would be so cool! How do I do that? and can I still mix it? This is all new to me, I can't even get a banner up.

guitar &mdash 08/17/07 - 04:59:04 PM
i got an ibanez artcore hollowbody, i love it. i think it's on the middle postion for the rythm and bridge for the lead.
I've done a bit of recording over the years, I started with a Fostex X-15 (i think) 4 track cassette recorder, the I got this tascam 388 7" reel mixer/recorder. the thing was the size of a coffee table and weighed 80 lbs, after that I got a Fostex digital 8 track, and now I have an imac w/logic express. i'm about 2 months into it and walk away everynight feeling like somebody just handed me the universe. This thing is just crazy.

This is a really &mdash 08/16/07 - 07:29:46 AM
catchy song, sung and played extremely well. The production is also first class and crisp. It obviously could use some bass on it, but otherwise very enjoyable and downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Summery Groove &mdash 08/16/07 - 09:20:24 AM
...love the August-lazy guitar loping along, with the relaxed, comfy voice just grooving along. Yeah, a cracking baseline and some varied drum fills would carry this into the 'killer' zone - but that can come with time. What a debut! Welcome to MacJams!

you couls hear that?!! &mdash 08/17/07 - 07:46:40 PM
Boy, you hit that one right on the head. it was about 104 in here.
It really helps keep my vocal cords loose though.
BTW if you ever need to sing a bass part- do it 1st thing in the morning before coffee or anything, or wait till you catch a cold. ;)
You could try to get a cold I guess but that's just crazy.

Thanks &mdash 08/16/07 - 03:25:51 PM
Thanks guys, yeah all critiques are spot on.
Who wants to play bass?

It is definately in the ruff stages right now, I was just so excited I had a premature debarcation.

ok, that's only marginally funny.

Way Cool &mdash 01/31/08 - 01:06:58 AM
Rythmn guitar reminded me of Grand Funk a bit. Love the Artcores. No bass didn't bother me any could here some in my head anyway. Reminds me of a song I heard in Altadina California years ago in the gym at a holloween party. The guy playing guitar looked and sounded alot like you :) Sweet solos with a smooth tone. I know a bass player you could probably get to do this with. The Doc. Mr Double D.
