What can I say? This is kind of different from you isn't it? A very pleasant yet sombre in parts piece. I love the descriptive mix of instruments and the chello really gives that depth, great stuff as usual Bill, M [ Reply to This ]

A neat piece of music, Bill... &mdash 08/08/07 - 08:53:03 PM
...and overall a good recording...
I think I'm sometimes picking up a whisper of distortion, maybe mostly in the left challenge when some of your attacks are combining with the low cello lines... and it's just a bit...
Nicely arranged...

Great American Music &mdash 08/09/07 - 02:04:31 PM
This is so drenched with so many things I love about genuine American music. Anthemic, stirring, so very melodic and great guitar playing and sound. As you are starting to be exposed to the Southern view of the "War Agains't the Yankees", I was steeped in it my enitire childhood. From "Save your confederate money boys, the South shall rise again" to a reproduction of the newspaper with the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln headlines and aunts and uncles discussing Sherman's march to the sea with loathing one hundred years later. The war was what all wars are, a tragedy but since it was brother against brother, fellow Americans agains't fellow Americans, it was even more so. As a young man I ran from associating myself with this terrible bit of history but can now look on it with a lot more compassion, empathy and objectivity and realize there were honorable, noble men and women on both sides and , as usual, there were forces at play controlled by powerful economic forces that stoked the fires and sent others off to die! Marching &mdash 08/13/07 - 08:14:21 AM
A refreshing twist on the military march. I've been to Gettysburg and it is difficult to get your mind around the number of deaths in the Civil War battles.
Thanks

Yeah boy! &mdash 08/16/07 - 12:53:29 PM
Bill, this is my new fave by you. Cool concept. Excellent (and even inspiring) playing. I give this 99 out of 100 points. If you add Tom Wounded's cannons and include a speech by Tom Bronco I will give it 100!
BRAVO!
Be well!
