Description
This song was actualy written by my brother years ago when his first marriage was in trouble. I've always loved it and I have some personal reason for wanting to release it today. The mix may need some work. Mixing is the art that I'm still trying to master.
I love you brothers...

Lyrics
Winds of life, blow me about
Ride me along on your wing
Show me a place, where I can get off
Where things are the way that they seem
CHORUS:
World keeps on turning my dreams not forgot
So don't try to take it away
Shall I hold on to this piece of rock
Or challenge the stones underneath
The advent of life tortures your soul
Dims all your dreams and desires
You see yourself as the father of life
A prisoner to what you've conspired.
Chorus...
BRIDGE:
When your time is your own and your all alone
Redemption is not far away
Just a few bars of song and some whiskey along
You'll soon be back on way
Repeat V1:
Ride me along on your wing
Show me a place, where I can get off
Where things are the way that they seem
CHORUS:
World keeps on turning my dreams not forgot
So don't try to take it away
Shall I hold on to this piece of rock
Or challenge the stones underneath
The advent of life tortures your soul
Dims all your dreams and desires
You see yourself as the father of life
A prisoner to what you've conspired.
Chorus...
BRIDGE:
When your time is your own and your all alone
Redemption is not far away
Just a few bars of song and some whiskey along
You'll soon be back on way
Repeat V1:

Wow Tim, this is a really lovely track - the lyric and the melody work together really well. I love the 'challenge the rock underneath' line - really evocative. This is a very uplifting track, and has a really timeless feel to it.
Mix wise, i'm not the best, but it does sound like there are some 'pops' on the vocal track - do you have a pop-shield? If not, may be worth getting one. The instrument placement sounds fine to me. The vocal maybe needs a touch of eq or reverb, but just a tad ... other than that, this is a sublime track.
