deliciously sparse... &mdash 08/08/07 - 09:54:17 PM
oooh, I really am liking the light harmonies, and cool bass here... has a vaguely "Bard's Tale" computer game feel, but with a darker edge. A little wind sound effect blowing through the middle part of this would give shivers... or a slow deep synth at the end of this that grows and leads to the next level. Very nice little interlude!

I love the sounds in this piece..... &mdash 08/09/07 - 11:34:59 AM
I think that the sonic textures you weave are wonderful.

You manage to consistently achieve beautiful sounds in every piece that I've listened to recently.

Some of the piano sounds in this sound almost lute-like....Smashing.

Excellent work.

Take care.

Paul.

thanks :) &mdash 08/12/07 - 04:47:04 AM
actually, there are only two instruments in here:
GB's guitar with a slow attack and long release, and the electric piano layered over it near the end.

Great sense of space in this - feels like an early morning by a lake when the mist is beginning to clear.

Gentle &mdash 08/10/07 - 11:59:46 PM
Reminds me of gentle falling snow. Maybe even leaves, but in spring somehow. Two people are walking along carelessly sharing thoughts through either scene. Maybe walking along a creek. (huh, that got pretty specific)

I noticed you have only 2-3 notes of a particular electric piano right near the end. Nice touch.

The reverb is just right in this one too. Gives it that good sense of space everyone is talking about.

Nice! &mdash 08/12/07 - 08:18:36 AM
Very relaxing and care-free, simple but effective. Its a shame it did not go on for longer, just so it can give you a chance to drift, however it is a lovely piece.

Fluffy &mdash 08/12/07 - 09:24:38 AM
This has a wonderful light taste. It's a marvel how much you can do with only two ingredients. The sparkly sensation of the guitar, and the more earthy feel of the bass, sometimes separate and sometimes combined. Each having their own character, and then combining into a new flavour.

Some undefinable other ingredient only appearing as aftertaste makes it all the more surprising, but it goes down just as smoothly.

Hm. Am I reviewing your composition of this cream pastry I just had with sprinkles on top?

Victor.

"of" should be "or" in the last paragraph.
