going through old tapes has kept me occupied, and derailed my current train of thought. this new tune was influenced by some old ideas...

i've also been staying away from MacJams a bit lately: i felt i was becoming too obsessed with it and needed some space...

the chord progression and the high pitched sequencer-like thing was generated randomly using a little home-brew program to make MIDI files that i then fed into GarageBand. I tweaked the last chord to close the loop better.

the critter refers to something definite.

the voice comes from a recent presidential radio address (Mr Bush). i did not listen to it. instead i played it backwards and cut out interesting sounding snippets (like sacrament).

when i was all done, i played the song backwards and almost busted a gut when i found out what the snippets actually were.

oh, and sometimes i like to think i look like a short bank executive.
