"Tribus" were a 4-piece band from Glasgow, Scotland. I recorded three tracks for them in 2003. [ Reply to This ]

I own ~ 95% Copyright to my Library being the author/contributor.
In cases like this where I was involved in but do not have permission from the (c) holder, I (and) rightly so, cannot permit downloading.
The Creative Commons Licences however have flexibility and that makes a HUGE difference.

Was I Playing? &mdash 08/11/07 - 03:23:40 PM
Indeed,
This was the second band that I recorded after I prematurely *hung up my boots* up in 2001.
It was a joy to record/mix/remix Tribus and add additional *fiddly tidbits* to this track. Shame than they vanished, as they had much potential.

Nice voice &mdash 08/12/07 - 12:49:44 AM
Reminds me a bit of Toyah Wilcox.
There is something to be said for such light voices. They can be completely intelligible while still mixed low enough that you can hear everything else that goes on in the arrangement.
Cool tune.
Victor.
PS I really need to listen to "Sunday all over the world" again. That was cool music. [ Reply to This ]

wow, nice driving stuff &mdash 08/25/07 - 01:04:24 PM
I like the percussion intro, great guitar playing, sweet singing, and rich slow compelling composition. I enjoyed the guitar solo at the end, however, the ending was a little weak. It seemed to need one last drum-hit and guitar-chord for the end. Anyway, great piece. Shall check more soon, belated Welcome to MJ!

The case of "the missing snare" &mdash 08/26/07 - 05:14:28 AM
Cheers Drakso,
Interesting that you mention the *and what next?* at the very end. I stuck on a lengthy reverb on the final beat to try to compensate for this.
I also *lost* a snare at an earlier section but didn't have the skills then to cut 'n paste on my workstation. The band then *rejected* my work simply due to *the missing snare*.
3 months work on 3 songs went up in a puff of smoke.
Despite an extensive search, the Drum Fed's could never find the missing snare and the case is likely to remain *unresolved* for eternity.
