Hot scot shots &mdash 08/15/07 - 02:27:39 AM
This is WACKY. The Skank brother' concept of plundering and hybriding (bagpipe banjo harmonica, damn!) of all folk traditions to turn them into frenzied pop is really working. The Tartan/startin' rhyme is genius, IMHO. [ Reply to This ]
What a couple of celts! &mdash 08/15/07 - 06:27:39 AM
I reckon this could be the biggest Scottish hit since The Proclaimers, or andy Stewarts new years hogmannay!
There's something very sensual about the micro mini line .....
a folk pop hit!

You guys are just brilliant!
Man, I wish I thought of something as cool as this.
Big Duggie knows how to honk!
I agree with what the 2 authorities above me said - you are a bunch of sheep shaggers!
Faved and downloaded!

Is this what happens... &mdash 08/15/07 - 02:55:35 PM
...when you smoke too much heather, guys?!
Mental. Just plain mental.
Big Duggie Skank is a legend in his own claymore.
I like the black boots & micro kilt ensemble - is that Lulu?

Bloody brilliant! &mdash 08/16/07 - 03:31:39 AM
Absolutely amazing concept guys, beautifully executed.
Couldn't stop smiling the whole way through.
I hear it taking off after the shouted verse into a wildly electric hoedown (in kilts of course).
You are a very disturbed bunch of sporran-wearers!
Thanks, brilliant!

Which? &mdash 08/16/07 - 03:11:38 PM
..half does Willie and Hank like? ;o) ..
there's a moos loose aboot this hoos ... yee haw!
I really like the guitar?/distorted banjo? actually .. and all the vocals .. quirky beats .. nice use of the
harmonica .. and the bass is suitably rumbly.
A tart in tartan, a tartan tart .. tartar sauce?
Catchy and fun .. a good song like this comes around every 50 years or so, like Brigadoon ;o) [ Reply to This ]
See Ya In 50 Years &mdash 08/16/07 - 04:21:21 PM
If a good song like this comes around every 50 years or so, I guess we can all go home now!

Not to mention the immortal... &mdash 08/16/07 - 04:46:24 PM
...it's a braw, bricht, moon licht nicht!
Pronounce the 'ch' as if you have a small piece of peanut (or even a pistachio skin) stuck in your throat and you are trying to dislodge it.
DO NOT SAY 'CH" AS IN CHAIR !!!!

We're really sorry the 45 minutes notice we gave you of our trip to NYC in April didn't work out so that we could meet.
We're fond of hillbillies, no matter which clan yer from.

Who dont like a half floridian scottish girl! love the pic!!! very different but realy good man this is tearin it apart like the singing I want to join in and be the guy in the back ground playin the washboard excellent!!!! [ Reply to This ]
Florida Based Skank &mdash 08/17/07 - 08:57:04 AM
Hey ego - if you joined up with your washboard, it would balance out the rather Scottish favored team. 2 Tampa boys and 2 Motherwellians could turn this sound upside down (even more)
You and I live 30 minutes from each other. When are we gonna jam?

Hey! &mdash 08/16/07 - 09:32:03 PM
My best friend has that outfit and it goes nicely with her pink mohawk.
Killer song, really the concept is great and very radio-friendly if I may utter the R word. Nice work, Skanks.
