I continue to enjoy... &mdash 08/15/07 - 11:05:26 AM
...the sound of that electric guitar... And on this one I'm wondering, are you using an amp? You don't list one...Is this all effects from Logic Express and GB2? I really like the disortion and sustain that you're getting...
The tune still has whispers of Neil Young phrasing, but then it also has hints of lots of other things besides...Bits of King Crimson, bits of Steely Dan... It's quite the mix, and I like it... I really like the surprise return after the initial fadeout...
I'm glad I've discovered your music at the beginning of my vacation, so I've had the time to listen as each tune comes up... I'm really enjoying them...

Virtual amp &mdash 08/15/07 - 11:14:11 AM
I'm using a virtual amp in Garageband with Guitar Rig (an amp I've created= combination of the pedal-depressed wah of Frank Zappa and a tube screamer),
but Neil Young is a major influence here (the long guitar notes at the end).
On my marshall and Boss GT8 multi-effect unit, I've recreated the same color.
The song is from 1979, but all arrangements are new. [ Reply to This ]

Enjoyed the guitar sound, really nice and wonderful playing, the piano is tasty in the background !

Gentle Prog &mdash 08/24/07 - 08:44:55 AM
I love your Chris Squire-like bass sound, your clearly layered two guitar work, your chord changes and subtle shifts in harmonic center, your Gentle Giants electric piano, and the whole package. Man, I'd love to work on stuff with you. Do you collab? Another quality track. [ Reply to This ]
