Description:
I was out walking the dog (our dalmatian Breeze - see pic above) and Ibstrat's P.R. Blues was playing on my ipod. I found myself humming along to it. When I got home I thought I'd have a go at singing over it. This is the result - one take and made up the lyrics as I sang.
I was worried that I had ruined Ibstrat's wonderful guitar piece so I sent him a copy to approve first he graciously agreed to let me post it.
I thought I would post this now as I am preparing to leave for a 2 week holiday to Kyrgyzstan. I will reply to any comments when I return.
Hope you like it - something different from my usual stuff just for a change.
Please don't take the lyrics seriously I am extremely happily married to my Kyrgyz Girl.

I'm not believing thatcha just pulled that out yer... umm... left field, and on the spot! Pretty impressive, I say.
I'm sitting here, shaking my head and grinning, while enjoying your take on this - I can see why Mark had you post it. It would have been a shame to've just been lost to the world of 0's and 1's w/o letting us hear it.
Good job. Now... was there any Jack Daniels , somewhere near and about a certain studio around the time that this little ditty came into fruition... - Just kidding... Projecting, of course...

Man, I love your voice - lenny cohen smokin' ciggies with Nick cave - its a wonderful instrument, Len. Nice bluesy track - there's a couple of parts here where you could've used a pop shield - put one on your xmas list!

Well I'm very impressed that it was done in one take and ab libbed. Again you got me chuckling away, you are good at making me laugh (in a good way, of coarse).

Guitar work is top-notch. Nice consistent tempo, which has the effect of inviting others to jam along, as you did with your singing. Aside from that, the guitarist seems to know his instrument quite well, and moves from one position to another with effortless ease.
Your lyrics are humorous, and nicely compliment the solid guitar track. If it was me, I might have done the vocal EQ with more of a natural feel, to match the natural-sounding guitar. But this worked, too, the way you did it. The heavy effects on the vocals did have the effect (!) of making the listener (me) pay attention a bit more to the words.

LOL, i am not taking a p at you, since the blues is a serious matter....:-D. But It has a Howling Wolf - Little Red Rooster rawness and honesty to it. It makes me wanna get drunk and celebrate the misery of all the blues in life. The Snatch way, until I drop.
